It's a yes from me. The one I currently have works great for my purposes for forward and reverse motions to handle some heavy benches in and out of greenhouses on a 1 horsepower 3 phase motor
The back of the machine has big heat fins, so no fan is necessary. This cooling system does not require anything else. With my mine, I can run it for hours in a 90 degree shop without any issues.

A firm that designs and manufactures industrial All in all, this is a great product. The company designs and manufactures industrial components, with comprehensive documentation, and allows the user to add customization options. The whole thing costs less than $250, and is well worth it. This product is packaged well and both connections and jumpers are easily accessible, along with instructions that are clear and user-friendly. When you deal with such a complex device as a VFD, you may think you will need help setting it up, but the steps to connect the device to the line voltage and three phase motor you intend to control are straightforward. From Amazon, I replaced the single phase motor on my Delta lathe with a three phase motor of 1 horsepower. KB VFD started up in a matter of seconds, varied speeds from zero to full motor rotation rate, and ran smoothly. I purchased the accessory reverse switch, so I can now turn the motor in either direction. In addition to this, I got reverse, slow, slow finishing speed and much more power for my lathe. It also prevented me from having to replace it to get variable speed, and from the motor and controller, I was saved over $1000 on a new lathe. Although this review sounds like I'm reviewing a product for the manufacturer or distributor, I'm just an individual who is upgrading The products I bought for my shop would have been this good if they had all turned out like this.
It is beautifully KB has a different model for use with 110/115v lines with GFCI safety devices, so contact them directly for details. They have a different model for use with 110/115v lines without GFCI safety devices. I discarded my original plan, just to make the saw more versatile. That's ok, I just connected a 220v power supply in its place. Besides the toggle switch for power on/off, I have added the optional power on/off switch. I was able to install it easily, and the instructions were clear.
I bought it to use for a 2 x 72 grinder. I wanted the dust proof enclosure and speed control knob to make it more convenient. My experience with it has been positive, and I have encountered no downsides. There is a great deal of ease of use associated with the controls. During the jamming of the grinder I twice ran into an overload condition from the VFD, which stopped the motor before any damage could be done.
The KBAC VFDs are a perfect fit. It is for a 1 hp 3 phase motor and I bought the KBAC 24D. This kind of connection is easy to set up and is It was a bargain to buy the 27D for a 1 a year ago. We have been impressed with the reliability of this 5 hp motor. It is essential for my business and I did not want to use an have bought the KBAC because I trust it to be reliable and that it will last long. It is NEMA 4 rated, so I don't worry about dust. I will probably buy another 27D in the near.
It is in some sense an industry standard in knifemaking. It is well-made, works well, and installs very easily. An extra few dollars out of the budget is well spent if you want to keep the device dust- and water-proof. Please note that small knockouts are 3/4'' in length. You may benefit if you purchase cord strain relief bushings based on what I couldn't find. This is something that you should do.
It is excellent quality for the price. This particular VFD will be used for a number of the motor driven tools that we fabricate here in They have all worked flawlessly for us for quite some time now. You must buy the right VFD due to the different sizes, so you ought to correctly match your voltage control device to the right motor size. The device performs great if it is wired correctly. We will buy this product.
I am so far very happy with the service. I am now able to make my new grinder more versatile, and I am also able to make it much quieter.
This product does what it says on the box. It works well with my 2x72 belt sander "powered by a 1HP motor".
