This is a better option than Dremel because of its flexibility
5/5

The Foredoms with the 1/3 HP motor are well built. If you are going to spend the money on one, get Motors bigger than that are not recommended. Considering the dial controller, I considered getting the speed device I was used to, which turned out to be available. The foot controller is not something I would use again after using it for a short while. The process of gradually getting up to speed on several projects is a lot better. Once that is done, it is quite easy to maintain any speed. You will be able to maintain one speed easily with the foot controller as it is not too sensitive. It's all about changing Previously, I had a quick change collar with the unit I had before the Foredom. Since I hate the pin and wrench arrangement of the Foredom, I expected I'd hate it. In my purse, I keep a chained-together pin and a pair of earrings You need to remove the top of the motor to access the wrench. To rotate the tip, I grip the hand piece with my right hand and rotate it with my thumb and forefinger. As a result, I was able to align the holes easily and insert the pin quickly. With the left hand, the bit can now be quickly replaced with the wrench. I would rather do it than talk about it. My only regret now is that the quick change collar is no longer available. Getting used to this is something you will need to do. It is normal for the motor to twist at first in order to move the As a result, I had to get used to keeping the bit away from the project when starting, and I had to be more patient when getting up to speed. As well as the Chuck, I also purchased the #30 hand piece. It allows you to use all of the small drill bits that are available. It is also possible for me to use one bit in the original handpiece and another in the alternative. The process of changing hand pieces is quicker than the process of Taking off the hand pieces is as simple as pulling them When you place the bit in the next hand piece, make sure the tab on the shaft meets the slot in the hand piece, then snap the bit If you only need to use it occasionally, you can get away with a Dremel with a flex shaft, but when you are using it for a long time or using a bigger bit piece, it becomes hot. Despite using it all day long, it never gets too hot.

Even though I do not use it daily, I am very pleased that I possess The dremels are still hanging on the same hooks, but I rarely use them.

Great flexible shaft tool with a heavy duty design
5/5

In a rush to repair the tools I burned out several Dremel tools, which lasted at best 6 months, and a couple of Praxair tools, I broke down and ordered one of these "industrial" Fordom versatile shaft Long time ago, I should have taken care of this! Dremel's tool is nothing like the tool this one makes, it is on a whole other level. By using the provided foot switch to control the speed, the machine operates smoothly and very controllably. With the torque and power this tool is capable of, it really impresses me after handling the lightweight Dremel tools and the much better Praxair rotary tools! Buying this thing should be a lifelong commitment.

The leader in this market is a good reason for that
5/5

Thus far, I have been very pleased with it. The only complaint I have is that the rotation direction should be able to be changed by a button. My chances are good of adding one are good. Otherwise, it has good torque and offers smooth control from a very slow speed all the way up to high speeds. Also, it does not produce as much noise as a Dremel. As Foredom charges too much for their models, I am using it with a Gobert #30 handpiece. The bore of the cylinder was a couple thousands of an inch too small for it, so it did not fit. To make sure the bore was clean and fit, I sanded it and cleaned the top (I checked that it was not the shaft that was the problem, with the help of I've also been satisfied with the fit apart from the bag's size. Using the #30 is rather large and I get fatigued in my hand when I have to hold it such that my hand feels like a pencil. If I need a piece like that, I will probably get a much smaller one.

Grades at the professional level
5/5

Foredom's tools have been a part of my life A variety of trades need them as their workhorses. I doubt that Dremel can compete with these guys but they are far superior to the original. You get what you pay for even though it is a bit more expensive. It is used to make jewelry, repair firearms, repair instruments and clocks, as well as for many other things. A Foredom purchase will not disappoint you.

I find this tool fun and addictive! The purpose of this is to carve wood with power tools
5/5

With a 1/4" sander and several 1/4" Kutzall bits, I can make a variety of projects. Despite its power, this is not a very loud unit. It is really cool to have a variable speed foot pedal. After using a Dremel for several years, I am switching to a machine with better performance. Currently, I am planning on getting a chisel set for my Foredom, since all of the attachments and accessories are amazing. One of the only issues I have with my unit is that it lacked the tiny set screw that secures the inner shaft to the motor. My motor also came loose within For the replacement of the inner shaft, I had to order another one. handled this myself, but I was not interested in dealing with all It would therefore be a good idea to get a few extra inner shafts and a tube of.

This is excellent
5/5

It means a lot to me to have a Fordem for my second time after my first lasted me 30 years. Power carvers will benefit from the extra power and torque provided by this. In perfect condition, the product arrived. It is a great machine for carving. I have been using it.

Tool for carving of high quality
5/5

It's a very professional unit, so it's a little hard to master the speed control. The stand is too flimsy for it to stand so I hung it on a hook in the room. that you buy a replacement cable and flex shaft for the flex shaft in case they fail.

The tool is extremely powerful and of excellent quality! It is amazing that this 1/3 HP version of this tool is so much better than the smaller version
5/5

There is enough torque to cause the motor to jump around on its hanger if it is given With burrs of 3/4" diameter, it is almost impossible to slow down significantly. Actually, I haven't been able to stall it at all. I like this control because it lets me change the speed at will. With great precision, you can control the speed. The best part is that it is so quiet in comparison.
