How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Steel tools with high speed are excellent for general-purpose applications. They are tough and hard to wear, and are usually well suited for general-purpose tasks
By treating the tools with black oxide, they become lubricious and create small pockets of coolant on the surface, where the cutting edge is.
Having a round shank makes it possible to use virtually any tool holding system
As you operate the spiral fluted tool in a counterclockwise direction (right-handed cuts), the chips are evacuated up and out of the cutting bed
This thread measures 75 inches in

Questions & Answers

If you looked at the tail of the tap, was it conical or did it have a hole in the center?

a 5mm circle is cut flat on a square drive, and rounded off on the square drive A hole for centering is not present. No conical taper can be seen in the cutting surface, which is triple pointed and planar.

Can you tell me how big the shank is? To use this 3/8 16 tap bit, what size collet do I need?

0mm is the length of the shank. There is 378" in the collet, so you should be able to use a 3/8" split collet.

You've got some good stuff here! A new beginning-YG There seems to be a lot of quality in a single tap
5/5

I haven't tried tapping anything made of nodular iron (like an axle differential yet), but I am sure that it will work for gray iron. I will get at least twice as many uses out of it before I am concerned about the tap dulling to the point where it snaps off in the hole as I did with (I have snapped off quite a few Hanson taps over the years as they are all HCS. )The flute seems to be less deep, so the cross-section appears to be less deep As you can see, the thickness of the section is greater than what you see on a "normal" four-foot truck An instrument tapping on the flute. There are two things wrong with this YG Despite using a hand tap wrench, I was able to successfully cut one tap. believe this was designed for use 3) It appears to be a fairly reasonable price It is recommended.

This is both very durable and super easy to use
5/5

This was my first time purchasing these taps, so I ordered two to make It took me 3 hours and 21 minutes to pre-thread 135 5/16" holes in a 3/8" thick mild steel plate. My expectations were high when I purchased two of the taps, fully expecting at least one to break or fail. Threading was undertaken with basic cutting oil after my first tap was inserted into the drill. One hundred thirty-five holes were tapped on the first attempt, without any problems. Having an extra means I can replace my original should it ever be lost. The bottom tap was easy to center even though it is a bottom tap, and no backing process is required In addition to that, the threads were tight, so the piece should wear well in.

This is the best faucet I've ever experienced
5/5

I have purchased this tap in 1/4 and 3/8. It is without a doubt the best I've ever procured. The tap throws out metal like the chips of wood from a wood chipper with a drop of cutting oil.

I would give it 5 stars if I could
5/5

To begin with, I am using this to tap mild steel by hand. This is better than any normal tap you can imagine. For the size of taps I typically use, I will be purchasing more of these. Threads are cut faster and easier with this kit than the kits that come with other thread cutting machines.
