Taking into account that you use good tap fluid lime MolyD (not cheap but good) and that you drill the hole to the appropriate size (don't try to make 75% threads like an aluminum nut), it shouldn't be a problem. The taps will probably not last as long in stainless steel as taps made especially for stainless steel, but they will not cost as much.
That is the case for the one I purchased

There's a tap on the wall. A thread maker or a thread cleaner can be used with it. Although I have no problem giving it more than four stars and it works as expected, I find it difficult to give it more than four stars for Wow is not the word to describe this. As expected, it just does exactly what you expect it to do. I'll be nice and just make this one exception.
The taps I've used are standard taps from the In some other websites I found information on spiral point taps and decided to experiment with this one. Using 1/2 6061 aluminum, which I think can be machined fairly easily, I'm tapping it. When I did the standard tap I had to turn the handle 1/4 turn and then spin it Without reversing once, I inserted it into the hole and spun it through. In the past few weeks, I have tapped another 30+ holes with it and it still seems to be performing well. No standard tap will ever be bought by me The one I used has not yet lost a tooth and performed better than I had hoped.
In order to get a basic set, I went to harbor fright first. When I found out that the thread tolerance is so poor that I can't use it, I just returned it and bought Kodiak instead. As sharp as a razor, it was as easy as cutting Kodiak is the tap I will buy for my Thanks a lot.
The threads after welding are cleaned using this method. A thread that has been cleaned.
I received the product in a couple of days and it was of high quality.
I'm so glad it worked! The actuator did not break and did not cause a problem tapping a conveyor shaft.
It's just a tap, but it works as.
