The tap on this carburetor can be used to replace a pressed in fitting on your VW Solex carburetor if you purchased or intend to purchase the carb inlet fitting. I reviewed the fitting previously and I found it to be the correct thread.

You should not depend on it too much if you do not use it often. Adding this tap set to my tap collection was my goal. The software has yet to be used by me.

I could not find a better price

In order to install some zerk fittings, I needed a 1/16" NPT tap. There were no such items in local stores and suppliers for which I searched, and in one case someone told me that such an item didn't exist. My laughter made me laugh! For this price, I believe this is a good tap and have added it to my tool collection.

We needed to tap three holes this size in an 8 mm Everything worked fine. This was the cheapest one I could find in this size and there were no issues.
