On aluminum and thin steel, it worked perfectly. For brass and copper, they should work fine. Cutting oil is a good option.

This isn't a problem with these taps, but it is with any small tap. It's best to attach a knurled collar to these so you can spin them with your fingers, as well as a guide to keep them straight in your drill press. Also, 60% thread slight oversize drill? ) as well as additional thread engagement, particularly when tapping in steel. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, go online and look it up; the taps themselves appear to be in good working order.
