Questions & Answers

Is this able to cut aluminum sheets that are very thin? There are some window holes on the camper that is covered with aluminum sheets that need to be trimmed out. ?

A hook geometry designed for cutting steel is not suitable for cutting aluminum. A "O" shaped flute would be a good choice. If you would like to know more about cutting non-ferrous material, please visit our eoasaw storefront site

Cut Length How long does it need to be?

I have cut this to a length of 1". If you would like a picture of any Whiteside product, and a complete description of it, you can contact us by clicking here Our Amazon storefront or our EOASAW website offers a wide selection. In stock at Edge of Arlington Saw &amp Supply. Shipment of an immediate shipment tool. If there is anything further I can do for you, let me know. Thom, thanks for your response

If you want to be sure, double-check I'm checking to see if I understand you correctly. Is it correct to say that cutting bit pushes waste toward bearing while routing away from bit?

A similar reason may cause the bottom of the container to rip off. It has both a forward and a backward cut, so you have a clean cut both ways. Visit our eoasaw website and download the CNC manual found in the technical section - or contact our sales department for more details. The principles of cutting remain the same no matter what the situation is. We will be glad to help you if you let us know how. Thom, thanks for your response

The length of the whole thing is how long?

The OAL is 3"

What I need it for is going to be done with it
3/5

I don't know, I thought after reading some of the other reviews about how sharp this bit was and how it cut like butter, maybe mine didn't Basically, this is a bandsaw box that I bought in order to cut some tight inner corners of a project I am making, and it's not a very big job. Nevertheless, it only cuts 3/8 of a walnut, which is a little shy of 3/8, but good If I crank up the RPMs, the router begins smoking and burning, and that's just with the router running In other words, I turn the speed down slowly and I can only shave one pass at a time. Keep in mind that I only have an 1/8-inch plane Trimming off 1/4 is a hassle, but if you shave it slowly and move slowly, it won't get too hot. This bit doesn't seem to be able to be used for long cutting times at all. If it gets too hot, I imagine it would fizzle out pretty quickly. It is not intended to run stock or anything heavy duty. I only obtained it for special purposes. I received a dull one, but it does not feel dull to me, or the angle of the cut is incorrect. However, $40 is a bit pricey, although this is the only bit that I could find that was similar. I have a few whiteside bits and I like them. It's gonna do the job for me though. CMT is what I prefer, though.

Trimming bit for flush trim Despite what I tried, it did not work
5/5

It was necessary to make a bunch of chairs and I made templates to get them flush trimmed 75" and 1" tall) As opposed to cutting the pieces on a bandsaw, I decided to directly route the material at once to speed up the process. To cut a long story short, it doesn't work this way since the bit also comes into contact with the waste. As a result of the warped scrap test piece, the template got messed up at some point. (Anyway, I used a bandsaw and a regular 1/2" straight trim bit (right side of piece in second Additionally, the small diameter bit has the disadvantage of having more telemarking due to imperfections than a bit with a larger diameter. To me the bottom line is that I only use the smaller bit when I need to curve or corner a piece of metal.

The product is well worth the price, and it is A healthy distrust for flush trim bits is in my nature
5/5

The usual problem is that a bearing fails, or that the bit causes some other kind of damage to the wood. Every now and then, I would veneer cabinets for aircraft interior remodeling. You will never be able to make up the time you lose when this happens with a phrase of profanity. After seeing it in use on a YouTube channel, I decided to buy it. I did not realize how expensive my project was, but I was working with expensive materials The confidence I had gained during the first few panels started to settle in after a few sessions. I have to say, a little more money is worth it in the end. Apart from that, it is highly satisfying to see the edge that this bit produces. As a result, I'm eager to get it back in use.

It's got the smoothest cutting action I've ever seen
5/5

This is amazing! I think this bit is I've ever used a cutting bit like this which is sharp and clean. It doesn't matter much what I say except that this is the best show there is The surface is smooth and perfectly machined This is the best bit I have ever used (and I think I already said that). I cut out 3/16" of endgrain from 3/4" bloodwood (which is always a pain to work with) with my little 1HP Bosch trim router in a matter of seconds. It does not seem to be dusty at all - These are the only spiral shavings that are beautiful. Even after heavy use, I see no signs of dulling, although I would expect every bit of metal will eventually wear down. Founded in 1946, Whiteside has been manufacturing high-quality products for a long time We have quality bits here in North Carolina. You may need a good flush if you This is the trim bit you need for a 1/4" router. It is also a good idea to conduct some research on whether an upcutting or downcutting spiral bit best meets your needs, and whether you should opt for a bottom or top bearing bit. It was the perfect solution for me.

I'm very disappointed in the Although I bought this router bit because usually whiteside produces quality products, I was sorely disappointed when I used it to flush trim some plywood and it became dull almost immediately
3/5

I had to use a cheap one I had and it was much more efficient than the one I bought from Whiteside. Nevertheless, since I now know, I will avoid this brand in the future.

What's described is not the case

Okay, there is supposed to be a nut on the end so you can change the bearing, but there isn't one. My update I had to use the bit for roughly 3 hours, and the bearing came off after light to medium usage.

Pass the knife through the butter while it is still warm
5/5

I am pleased to recommend this router bit as one of the best It has never been equaled in my experience. Complimentary butter melts like butter after being cut by a hot knife. In the past, I've spent $20 on bits that weren't even 1/10 the quality of this. A backup was necessary since I am working on a large project and expect to need two of these computers. As part of my project, I used only one of the bits and am now done with this phase. In addition to the 2nd one, I will keep a backup copy. It would be nice if there were better bits than this, because I am not able to imagine any better bits.

Optimal performance per bit at the most competitive price
5/5

A speaker build that involved veneer/panel edge flush cutting required this tool to be used. After trials and routes required for it to become a set of Devore o/96 clones, the edges were still sharp. The bit is superb and the price is great.
