Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how many bits Do you see a logo for the "7 pack"?

In the first image, we see a logo with '7 Pack' written on it. All of you commenters provided me with a heads up on this fraudulent advertising, and I'm glad I didn't fall for it.

What if I wanted to drill large circular grooves into plywood with this bit. Can you go all the way down to Do you have a trammel that cuts multiple times at 1/8"?

It is both effective and convenient to use the spiral up to pull chips out of the groove, but 192 is the best if sharpness of the top edge is a priority. You can take shallower cuts for 11 down spiral.

Does it work well for routing finger joints and box ?

The spiral joint is one of the most important parts of a box joint. fact, our Spacer Fence Box Joint Jig uses 1/4, 3/8, and a half inch hole sizes Spirals with a diameter of 1/2" are exclusively available.

A trim router can be used by an amateur
5/5

I am pleased with the performance of this bit. The trim router I am using is a handheld model. As I learn, I am making it up as I go along. Here is a review that I hope will be helpful to people The bit has worked well so far in both pine and cedar, allowing me to incrementally (1/8") mortise to a depth of 1" total with no problems, making quick work of the job. As other reviews alleged broken parts, I tested this bit after my main mortising project was complete - it worked perfectly! In test-cutting cedar in 1/2" depths per pass, I had no problem using this bit as long as I worked slowly and with caution. The bit would not allow me to cut hardwood at a depth greater than 1/8" at a time. In terms of wood applications, specifically soft woods, I recommend this CMT router bit to you. The bit is very sharp (heading the warnings, I used gloves to handle it) and made fairly clean cuts. I am also certain that, with proper router speed configuration, this bit would also work well on hardwoods, though I have not yet put it to the test.

Removes wood but does not remove the grain
3/5

Though the bit appears sharp enough, I am not able to remove the wood from the cut, even with the vacuum working at full suction. Moreover, the router motor appeared to be under greater load when I cut the original bit with the same depth. I can understand this if the motor has to fight the cuttings all the way through. I don't think the bit is designed in such a way that the vac can capture the cuttings well enough for the vac to seize them. It appears that these problems are for a Shaper Origin, so a normal router probably wouldn't encounter these.

This did not last very It seems to be a cheaply made product, as I bought two and one One of the issues I encountered was cutting too much material at once
3/5

Once I reduced the amount of material I was cutting, the results improved. A part of the problem is that it is a 1/4 inch diameter rather than a 1/2 inch diameter, but there are times when you have to accept 1/4 inch diameter for other reasons. There was a sense of disappointment when I saw the bit was of such poor.

These bits are the best I have ever used
5/5

With this brand router bit I built the calcium reactor for my Reef Aquarium after taking a chance on it. The bits are soo sharp that I cut my finger pulling them out of their holders (my They are by far the best bits that I have found to use on acrylic plastics. When you're looking for great router bits and aren't afraid to spend a little more for quality, these are the bits to look for, don't hesitate anymore. They make very clean cuts, I assure you.

As far as my experience is concerned, I wouldn't recommend it
3/5

My practice has been using this style bit from a variety of manufacturers for a long time. I bought this one since my old one was beginning to dull and this one was affordable. We tried to cut two mdf rings with this bit on the Casper jig and it broke. It is important to note that I do not apply pressure when using these tools, and I only cut 1/4" deep per This may be a problem with the manufacturer, but I used my money for nothing.

5/5

Very good value for the money! In my testing of this bit on some oak boards, the cut was clean and precise The top and bottom of the blade are sharp. Thanks for sharing this. I'll definitely put it to good use for some of my.

The straight bit will not cut as well as this! To date, this bit has been found to be much more reliable than The cutting tool came in handy when cutting pieces 1/4" wide by 1" deep by 1-1/4" high Cherry mortises are half an inch long
5/5

It was as if the bit cut through "like butter" with no burning of the cherry. If I had used straight bits, the cherry would have burned and I would have had to clean it.

As an example
5/5

The three of them I bought were to be used with a ShopBot 4x4 CNC router to cut full thickness profiles. With a rotational speed of 14k RPM, the bits were able to handle the task at a feed rate of one inch per second with ease. If I hadn't piloted one into a screw, I would have been able to finish the entire 60 sheet job with two bits instead of the three it ultimately took. In addition, I want to mention that this bit plunges like a champ. In the product description, this feature is not mentioned. As a result of breaking four (4) Freud bits while doing the same sort of work, I will be buying fewer of those and more of these CMT's instead.
