Netro Smart Sprinkler Controller, WiFi, Weather aware, Remote access, 6 Zone, Compatible with Alexa

My favorite thing about Netro Smart Sprinkler is that it is so easy to use! It took me a long time to complete all the research and price comparisons before making my decision. When I found Netro, I saw it as being a viable alternative to RainMachine and Rachio. Among the smart watering functions it provides (gathers weather forecast, adjusts schedules, etc. ), but where the system excels is with its plant sensor
The plant sensor can be attached wherever you want, and it is more like a soil/weather The unit is solar powered, so if you put it in a spot where the sun shines for at least an hour a day, you won't have to replace a battery or recharge I have mine in my front yard in the grass since this is the area where I water most. It adds to what the Netro already does so well by showing you your real-time weather at home, not just the weather of We have had rain/snow around here for the past four days, yet my sprinklers haven't come on a single time, whereas they would have come on four times if I weren't using Their customer service is excellent, and they reached out to me before my installation to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase, as well as offering assistance to do the installation if I needed it. It is great to deal with a company who stands behind their product. During the installation process, I did not require any assistance since the process is extremely straight forward, and after a few minutes, I had my old system taken down and Netro installed and running. Staking the plant sensor in the lawn took another three minutes it also took a while to find the right space in the yard. The Metro is creating a database with information about when it is permissible to water and when it is prohibited to do so. In my area, there were no regulations listed when I installed, but I see there's a place in the app to add them. The rules can also be set by you if you prefer, but I suggest the local area regulations, if they don't already exist, be submitted. My min were uploaded and on my system by the next day after I sent them in on a Saturday. This is amazing! This system has been a great success for me so far. So far, I have not had to adjust anything manually (as I often did previously) and I have not checked the system to ensure that the water is flowing appropriately.

Amazon was my first port of call when I was looking for a sprinkler that could connect to wifi. This is something I'd like to try, but I haven't been wowed by I admit that I would be content with a simple A benefit of this device is that it uses weather forecasts and rainfall reports to calculate irrigation frequency and timing automatically. It is important that you use accurate weather reports for your immediate area in order to use this function. Installation was not as easy as I had hoped. A beefy, sturdy Orbit timer was replaced at my house with this. Electrical wire that I used for the sprinkler system is thicker than usual With regard to terminals, the Netro uses push terminals that have extremely small insertion holes, in contrast to the older Orbit. Due to the thickness of the wire, the 18 gauge terminal holes can't accept the wire. As it turned out, I ended up using smaller HVAC wire from the Netro and connected it to the rest of the system with screw terminal strips. I will admit that I am not a techie that controls my entire house with an app. I will say that programming the unit is not intuitive. The wireless thermostat and a few lights are however connected to my house. My experience with the Netro programming has been a little frustrating. One other issue with the unit is that there are no physical controls. You MUST use a device with the Netro app if you want to change settings. A touch screen is available for other manufacturers' devices, allowing them to interact with their units physically. It is necessary to navigate several layers deep in the app if you want to pause or deactivate your Netro unit permanently. Others have a "master button" (both physical and soft) on their controllers that can shut it off or pause it. Despite its light weight, the actual device is extremely sturdy. The thing you are essentially doing is hanging a fragile computer card. A protected area is the best place for it to be mounted. Netro's instruction manual states that it will auto-restart if not used for four minutes Power outages should be repaired as soon as possible. The statement is false, as I have discovered. Due to the recent extreme weather in the upper Midwest, we have suffered three power outages in recent days. There is no automatic startup for the Netro After the third auto-repair, I had to go to the emergency room. It was only a day or two ago that there was a connectivity problem. I was motivated to return or replace my Netro as a result. The return window was beyond my reach, so I have no choice but to keep the item. What I would do if I had a choice Over at Orbit, I will check out their 6-inch tablet Controller for the station's WiFi. There are a lot of big-box stores that sell it Compared to big box stores, it is much cheaper and easier to program. I tested out a display unit, and I found that it is simpler to use and to program.
