This is an absolute must! I swear by copper foil for shielding electric guitars, so this is more of a general discussion of copper foil

I go way beyond the recommended amount of shielding and use it even where it's been said it won't make a difference, but every single guitar I own, from the most expensive to the $60 kits from overseas, is completely silent regardless of orientation to the amp or pickup type, and I even have fluorescent lights in my studio. When the covers are replaced in the control cavities, make sure that all of the tape is physically and electrically connected and grounded, forming a complete Faraday cage. You will not be disappointed if you use it liberally. Keep in mind that the edges of thin metallic tapes are extremely sharp, so have a box of band aids handy.

My guitars now have less noise

I used this to cover all of the electronic cavities in my guitars, and it significantly reduced noise. Since most of the noise interference comes from my computer, I moved it from the right to the left side of my desk, which also helped to reduce noise in my guitars. I'm going to try using this tape to cover the window on my computer case to see if that helps as well.
