Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the Tevo Tornado?

Yes, it is compatible with the Tevo Tornado.

Is this compatible with the Makerbot 2x replicator?

I can't say for sure because I don't own a Makerbot, but the threaded end is 5mm wide and fits a heat block for an MK8 extruder found on Anet A8 or Prussa I3 and similar printers. To be sure, I'd look up your printer's specifications online before placing an order.

It could've just as easily been a mixed bag
3/5

When I received these, they appeared to be identical to every other nozzle I've ordered or used, which is a good thing. However, after installing one, I discovered that my print bed was significantly off-level. They're significantly longer than any of the other nozzles I've used, according to my research. I guess it's not that big of a deal. I was on my way after leveling the bed to the new length. br>br>At least, that's what I was thinking. My print was underextruded to the point of being unusable. I looked for a clog when I first began looking into possible causes. In comparison to how I'm used to turning the extruder and forcing plastic through the nozzle, I found it extremely difficult to do so manually. So I took out my cleaning pin and began nozzle testing. Only one of the twenty was actually a. 4 nozzle. I don't have any smaller pins, but if I had to guess, they're a combination of. 2 and . Depending on how much of the pin could fit through the hole, there were three nozzles. Because the bag was labeled as a 20-pound bag, 4mm nozzles, it's a manufacturing or packaging quality control issue. In any case, the 19 out of 20 nozzles are useless to me right now. br>br>I'm giving 2 out of 5 stars because the one correct nozzle has been printing flawlessly for the past three days. These would have been perfectly good nozzles if they had been the right size.

On my Ender 3 Pro, nozzles would not thread properly
3/5

As a result, there was leaking and the prints were ruined. This set of nozzles was purchased for my Creality Ender 3 Pro because the hot end is identical to the CR-100. Despite having threads that appeared to be nearly the same diameter and pitch (measured with calipers), these would only thread in to my hot end about a millimeter before binding. br>In my tired state, I reasoned that the threads were just a little out of spec, so I used leverage to screw it in (it didn't take much, but it was more than the hand could provide). br>Unfortunately, I'm now experiencing significant leaking around the nozzle's threads, and I believe I've damaged my hot end as a result of forcing it in. Either that, or the nozzle's hole isn't really 0. 4mm, as reported by many others, resulting in excessive pressure from the molten plastic. br>br>Aside from that, these nozzles appear to be at least 1-inch in diameter. Because the Ender 3's nozzles are 2mm longer than standard nozzles, I had to raise the height of my Z axis home switch to level my bed. br>br>While these nozzles appear to be a "good" deal on paper, they aren't up to par in terms of quality. wise, and I now need to replace my hot end, as well as purchase some decent nozzles. This product is not something I would recommend.

There is no need to use anything unusual
3/5

I wish I'd read the more recent comments about using a needle to test them. These nozzles come in a variety of sizes, none of which are the same. 4 mm. Don't waste your money; after you've plugged ten of them into the machine, you'll be throwing them away.

Size of a Nozzel It's impossible to beat the value for money
3/5

The consistency of the nozzles, on the other hand, is a concern. The was purchased by me. I tried four different openings and discovered that they weren't all the same. I discovered that the nozzle openings could vary by up to. 1 to . 2 mm So you're hoping for a. It's possible that it's from. 2 to . 6 . I discovered five out of twenty items that did not meet the criteria. So, if you decide to purchase this item, make sure you have some small drill bits on hand to check the diameter before installing the piece. So I lost or gained a quarter of the on my order, depending on how you look at it. Due to defernite openings, there are four nozzles available. So just be cautious, double-check the tolerances, and have a good time.

A low-cost method of keeping your 3D printer in good working order
5/5

Nozzles that are clogged are a pain in the neck to deal with. When brand-new replacement nozzles are available for as little as these, it makes little sense to turn your printer off to clean clogged nozzles. They simply screw into the hot end, allowing you to quickly resume printing. If you really want to clean the clogged nozzle, you can do so while the printer is printing something else. Having a variety of nozzle diameters also allows you to experiment with various print speeds. If the loss of detail is acceptable, a larger nozzle diameter can significantly reduce print time for larger objects.

These seemed like a better option than the nozzles that came with my printer
3/5

My assumptions were incorrect. I purchased this assortment of nozzles in the hopes that they would be superior to the Creality nozzles that came standard. For no apparent reason, I began to have problems with my prints. Around the Z seam, there's a lot of fuzz. I went in and tried some retraction tests (which I had perfected with the creality nozzle), but the results were abysmal. I ran test after test, changing every retraction setting I could think of, and still couldn't get a tolerable result. Then I remembered that one of these nozzles had recently been installed, so I replaced it (with another from this pack) and my retraction tests are now at least tolerable. I think the first one I put on had a burr or something on it. It's a little disappointing that the first nozzle I tried out of this was a dud. I didn't want to have to deal with that possibility every time I needed a new nozzle, so I ordered a Micro Swiss nozzle instead. br>br>Go ahead and experiment with these nozzles if you want to. However, nicer nozzles are not prohibitively expensive, and I believe it is well worth the money to avoid the hassle.

Low prices, but there may be a few faulty nozzles mixed in
3/5

Pros: br>Cheap in comparison to the number of partsbr>Cons: br>Look at the size; I only had one. The right size was 6mm, one. The hole in 3mm was blocked by a large burr, and the hole in 2mm was blocked by a small burr. 4mm nozzles that were undersizebr>The rest were pretty much spot on and looked greatbr>If you buy these, make sure your nozzle hole size is correct before installing them on the printer.

You get what you pay for, I suppose
3/5

As a result, all of the reviews claiming that the nozzle opening size is inconsistent are correct. I suppose $9 for 20 nozzles is a bit of a bargain. The majority of these will become clogged after a 15-hour print. I bought nozzles without a dimension stamp the last time I went shopping! These will be thrown away as soon as my nozzles from another vendor arrive.
