There are a pair of and connectors included with the kit, and as far as printing goes, sure, you could sketch something up in Fusion 360 with the measurements, but to the best of my knowledge, no stl's for this chain are available.

What is the difference between an open and a closed container?

The term "open" refers to the ability to open the channel rather than fishing your cables through it.

The wiring upgrade on my Ortur Laser Master 2 laser was made possible with these chains. The snap tops are very simple to open and close after the wires have been inserted; it takes a little practice to figure out how they work, but once you do, it's a piece of cake.
