It's the only brand I use because I've been using expensive brands before. This is a great deal at the price. These flap discs work well for me. I have used expensive brands in the past and use them until they are worn as small as possible due to the cost. In my business, I only use them for my personal projects, as I have no need for them in my company. Apparently, being a professional welder/fabricator, my personal projects are not limited to just a few things. These projects have proven durable and do exactly what I need. It may not perform as well as some highly expensive flap discs costing $16 or more, but it is still a good disc. For a flap disc to last a long time, a variable speed grinder is necessary. After 10 years of experience, I know they wear out much quicker when they run at higher speeds. There are some expensive brands I have used on my four-wheeler Grinding with 1/2-inch grinders at straight rotations finished off the pricey brands in no time at all. It lasts forever on my Metabo variable speed grinder when I use the same flap disc. This is the same for discs that are less expensive.
Grinding wheels of this type are the type that I use most often, but not often, For the price, they are a good investment. I didn't compare the efficacy and longevity with discs from other brands because I didn't do a side-by-side comparison. However, I believe they are just as effective and durable as those from more expensive brands.
However, only a couple discs were damaged in the damaged box. As far as I can tell, the discs were marked as 40 grit, but were more like 120 grit. It is not very effective in cutting, and it doesn't last for long. I am very disappointed with this.
Despite their name, they are just as reliable as brand name One complaint, however, is you should spin it away for a minute before turning it on, because the paper logo tends to come off when you first turn it on. It scared the crap out of me at first.
There are some good products on Amazon, but not the same caliber as I've never seen a package that was so bad. Seeing as this plastic was broken and in poor condition, I'm left to wonder if they found a container of these that's been sitting around for years, and now they need to get rid of them.
As someone who uses flap discs every day, I've tried almost every type out there, and for their cost, these are an excellent value that, when used appropriately, provide an excellent.
These discs have been in use for quite some time. I am satisfied with how they perform and the way they work!.
