If you are on the fence with so many choices of replacement parts, this one worked well for me (and was a We took the risk on this item due to shipping time as we needed the vacuum to be fixed as soon as possible. My surprise is that the device has been working great for the last 10 days (not a long-term test). I am happy to report that the product does not have the same problem that some other replacements have, that is, the charger plug is difficult to insert and remove. The first Dyson V6 I had had a problem with the plug (too tight and very difficult to use with wall support). It has already been moved and I have a new one. I bought this one to replace my old one and was surprised to find that the battery With just two screws, it can be easily installed. While the advertised size 4 is larger, it is much smaller than the actual size. The vacuum will run for a shorter period of time before another charge is required because the battery has zero Ah capacity. Rather than saving money by going direct to Dyson, I would recommend spending the extra money.

Using this battery, you can vacuum multiple rooms at the same time. With my old battery, one room would be done and the battery would die. To be honest, this battery is still in good condition.

After installing the replacement battery, I was able to use my Dyson again as if it were brand new. thought I'd try a battery before I bought a new Dyson unit, because I'd be happier to pay for a battery. As I just got the battery and installed it, I'm not able to give any more information about its life expectancy.
