I had previously seen shelving clips, but they were for a different rack system. You shouldn't need clips if you use the rack system shown. I've got four 5-year-old children. I've used shelf racks with liners for years and have never had any issues with them sliding around.

I was surprised to see that it was only 65mm thick, much thinner than I had anticipated. As far as I can tell, "gauge" isn't a universal unit of measurement, but rather a term that has different meanings depending on the material. 30- Sheet metal gauge is approximately 0. 3mm. 30 gauge is equivalent to 7 gauge for plastic sheets (such as trash bags). 6 microns (millionths of a millimeter) is the smallest unit of measurement. There was no standard for polypropylene sheets that I could find. br>br>As a result, I wasn't sure how thick the advertised "30 gauge polypropylene" would be. The width is fine, almost perfect, but the liners are about a half inch too short for the length, causing some shifting left and right. They were made to go together. My only wish is for a five-pack to be available, as both of my shelving units have five shelves.
They were bent and wouldn't lay flat, according to many customer reviews. Mine arrived flat, in a box designed to keep it from folding or bending. br>br>They were a perfect fit for the Target shelves I purchased. I just wish they came in a five-pack rather than a single-pack. Because most shelving units (including those sold on Amazon) have five shelves, the answer is four. a br>br>These liners make my shelves look cleaner than they were before. I don't have them in my laundry room at all. These gray liners would also look fantastic on my silver shelves. a br>br>The material is flexible while also being simple to clean. One side is extremely smooth, while the other is smooth with a slight groovy surface (either side can be used face up). I even zip tied a hanging basket to two shelves, and the surface remained smooth and free of ripples (see photo). The material is sturdy, but not indestructible, which is my only complaint. It may break or crack if it bends too much or if you place or drop a very heavy item on it. I had a shelf liner on the bottom shelf with two cases of water stacked on it, but I decided to take it off so I wouldn't be angry if it broke later. Aside from that, these shelf liners are my recommendation.
This is a fantastic addition to my shelf system. No longer need to be concerned about minor splatters from my Keurig coffee maker on the top shelf splattering on the tablets charging on the shelf beneath.
I started with a standard wire shelf liner from a discount store. They work, but they're usually made of a slippery, gleaming plastic that only fits certain shelves (despite having the same dimensions, shelves differ slightly in post spacing, which is why mixing brands in one set of posts rarely works). Then I found some on Amazon with a slightly nicer finish, but they were a little too big and came rolled up in a tube, which I had to flatten. br>br>Finally, I came across the Sterling ones. The matte finish is very nice. The rounded cutouts in the posts are even more attractive. It has a much more refined appearance than a standard diagonal cut. br>br>However, they aren't perfect; they're cut a little smaller to fit every brand of shelf I've tried in a size, but they slide around a little. In addition, not all sizes are offered. There is no option for a depth of 21 inches. So you're out of luck if you want matched liners and a variety of shelving. Fortunately, I only use liners for the shelves that hold books, which are all 14" deep. These appear to be the nicest for that, despite the fact that they slide around slightly.
