There is no assembly involved in this item unless they changed it within the last month. The instructions for assembling this are inadequate, causing the item to be difficult to understand and assemble as described in an earlier review. In spite of its deficiencies, the product can be made just fine with a simple rewrite that offers complete and detailed instructions. To be clear, the assembled product is fine, it's just getting there that is problematic.

Junk like this is not worth buying

Even if you receive this product for free, it would still be a good idea for you to I finally assembled it and it keeps collapsing. It is a quality product, but the instructions are woefully inadequate

The handyman in me is pretty good at what he does. It normally occurs. Even though the finished product looks simple to assemble, there are very subtle differences in length and positioning of each piece that, if installed in the wrong position, will not be apparent until the unit is mostly assembled. Having said that, the issue is not that this isn't a well-built piece once assembled, it is that they need to write clear, concise instructions to make it easier for people to assemble this the first time. It is highly recommended they do this, in which case I would not recommend this item for purchase.

The holes my husband drilled were too small, and he had to buy a special drill bit to make them large enough. The one that was complete and had the correct parts and holes was different from the one that was incomplete.

You won't have to worry about it! A few issues occurred with this product 1) painted bamboo finish is not sturdy, and there is a possibility it will chip, 2) one of the bolt connections is misaligned, and it would not seat properly, and 3) multiple splinters when trying Aside from that, the product was advertised as needing no assembly, but it arrived completely assembled! This product was not even assembled, and the instructions were unclear. Nuts mounted to wood pieces fell out during assembly, making the unit impossible to stand. There are visible flaws in the wood, a really cheap-looking name plate in a prominent location on the frame, which is not visible in the It would have taken me an hour to assemble this with wood glue, but why waste the time? Rather than wasting time and frustration on a different model, consider this one.

Assembly is not the only thing you need to do, you also need to drill holes as some are not even pre-drilled During drilling. This is something I dislike a lot.
