These were on Amazon this year, so I purchased them. It was primarily the appearance that prompted me to choose these, and I was very disappointed when they arrived. In addition to looking like cheap hooks with a fancy curl on the bottom, they're very dull. The ones I have from the local big store are not like my beautiful chrome swirly ones. Even after all this time, I still use them because they're sturdy and durable. In any case, I will be purchasing different ones this year and discarding these ones in the trash. In addition to using these for Christmas, I also use them for other occasions. This is a wonderful decoration to hang throughout the year. It is handy to hang crystals with them. Apparently, there will be 40 of each color, and they will be "like new" but they are damaged in the packaging. The only green ones were 20, 60 red ones were 60, and 40 gold ones were 40. Sadly, though, one package of the gold does not look very good. It is rusted to the point of not being useful. I used them mainly as the top of little styrofoam elves, but they are not as sturdy as I thought they would be. that, I think they would be fine, but I'm not convinced they would hold very heavy ornaments on our tree because the kind of tree we get does not have very sturdy branches.

My first thought was that this hook would be flimsy and only suitable for ornaments and was pleased with the quality of the hook. They can be bent but for their size, they are very strong. The impression I got was very good.
