In the beginning, I bought the halo insert. It did not improve the feel of the halo and was not very sturdy. While he still slept on the halo's mattress, which he hated, he woke up to a noisy alarm clock. During one sleepless night, I found this insert. I went to bed five days before buying this at 3am in a desperate dread of not being able to sleep. The bassinet I purchased for my son was not liked by him. Rolling to one side and squirming all over the place, he kept moving in an ineffective manner. When I was extremely tired and the only place he would sleep was in my arms, that didn't feel safe to me. I think we saved our sanity with this. My baby (five days old at the time) slept well during all of his feedings last night after we used it. Despite waking up somewhat tired, I actually feel rested today. It would not matter to me if the company called me tomorrow and told me they overcharged me, and therefore I needed a $100 payment to keep There is no point in skipping it.
It is well worth the money. It was definitely one of the best purchases we made the MySnuggly even though the Halo insert was a gift from our family. With it, our baby slept a lot better and was one of the coziest he has ever been. Moreover, I was constantly checking on our infant from the bassinet, waking my husband up as I leant over it. When comparing the two, I would say that MySnuggly is built better as I find the Halo insert to be floppy and did not make a significant difference while our baby was in it.
This is an insert you should buy. It was hard for my wife to have our newborn sleep in the HALO bassinet during the day, so he only slept in the Fisher Price rocker at night. The bassinet didn't work for him after we tried several times to get used to it. It seems we spent a lot of money on something that would never be used. I used to put my son down to sleep in the bassinet at night, but he would wake up too often in between feedings, so my wife and I had to cope quite a bit. We also did not want to wake him up for feeding if he was actually asleep, because we were afraid he would not FINALLY, we were able to get our baby to enjoy the bassinet by using the Mysnuggly Insert. It took me a long time to decide if I wanted to spend even MORE money on this project, but I have decided to give it a try. That was the best decision I could have made! The insert does not seem to be the cause of his poor sleep, but he is six weeks old, so I doubt it is the cause. She was very hard to put to sleep in her bassinet, often rolling around until her face was smashed up against the side.
