The cover of the hopper is blown off. What happens to it?

It will stay in open position as soon as the lid falls back. During this process, we took apart the latch portion. It may be helpful to know this!

The new lid maintains a vacuum seal, how does it work? As far as I can tell, there is no ?

Any pellet stove will operate effectively if it has the "Vacuum seal." The vacuum seal comes from three factors. Firstly, we use premium EDPM foam on the bottom of the lid so that when the pellets are loaded, it will not be affected by the foam. Using precision fabrication, we then maintain parallel surfaces between the mating surfaces. In addition, the lid features a slotted hinge point that allows it to line up with the surface of the Hopper Extension. What is the compatibility of this with a 1999 Harman Advance Free Standing Stove?

Buying our stove in 2016, it was a freestanding model that fit perfectly in our living room. To make sure that the hopper completely sat inside the stove opening, all we had to do was remove the internal latch on the stove (just allowing the lid to lay in open position). It may be helpful to know this!

The fit is excellent. A silicone adhesive makes the installation process easy. I wish it matched my Harman stove, but it does not!.

There is no catch to it

It completed the installation in less than 15 minutes, and allows my drafty old farmhouse to keep its stove on for over 48 hours. Rather than using glue, I used stick-on weather stripping between the extension and the hopper. Nothing to worry about.
