I used a drop of epoxy to keep it in place because the threads were gone after drilling it to a larger size. It appears to be working now, but I wish I had received the standard size, as I've been having trouble with Amazon lately. Returning items is inconvenient, so I either try to make it work or throw it away.
I had to modify it to get it to fit, but it's fine now. My Peterson log fireplace's mounting bracket couldn't accommodate the brass part between the threaded nut and the thermopile because it was slightly too wide. Strange because the threaded nut (which has the same threads as the fireplace mounting bracket) fits perfectly. I had to grind off some of the brass with a grinding wheel. Fits and functions properly after this mechanical adjustment.
100% worked immediately following installation, required 2- 3 attempts at starting gas logs within a week of time, and complete 100% failure to ignite gas logs within 2 weeks of time. Heater's adapter will not fit. This thermopile will not fit into the bracket on my perfection LP gas heater, despite the low price. The issue is that the collar ahead of the threaded nut has a diameter that prevents it from passing through. The threads will be destroyed if I drill out the bracket's hole. I'm guessing I'll end up at a parts store to try out another unit. It's impossible to tell if another unit will fit based on pictures found online.

The mount and the two wires were simple to undo and swap, but more disassembly is required than you might think. I was able to complete the swap without putting it under any stress or strain, and without touching any gas-related components - The results may vary depending on your circumstances.
