It is compatible with the Regency BellavistaTM B41XTbr>Gas Fireplace. However, it's always a good idea to check the connections from and to the unit from the time the fireplace was installed.
I used to have to use tape to keep mine in place as well. Simply purchase the receiver, connect the wires to the back, slide it in, and tighten the two screws, and you're ready to go.
It hasn't melted in my hands at all. I've had to replace it every three or four years because the remote signal isn't receiving. Avoid putting it near a flame. My fireplace is to my left in the room where the fireplace's mechanicals are located, below. I usually replace both the receiver and the remote at once.

Our fireplace's receiver had stopped working. I tried replacing the batteries but was unable to get it to "beep" in order to connect it to our remote control. I came to the conclusion that we would most likely require a replacement. This is a perfect match for the one we had previously. I removed the old one, disconnected the wires, and replaced it with the new one. I slid it back into place with a screwdriver. It synced with the remote right away after I turned it on. It's a cinch to use. The only drawback was that it stated on the packaging that it could not be returned once it was opened. I would have been out of money if it hadn't worked. I would just double-check that this is the correct receiver before opening it.
It was easy to swap out and had clear instructions. Now that I have a working receiver, my remote works as it should. This product has exceeded my expectations, and it was packaged beautifully. I didn't have to be concerned about it being damaged in transit.
Just make sure it's the right fit for your fireplace and remote/transmitter when ordering this item. These aren't always easy to find, but the seller provided helpful, clear information, and I received precisely the right product, which was simple to install and works flawlessly. . . I'm very pleased!.
My broken unit was replaced with an exact match. Everything is made by the same company. It really works.
Two tabs hold the battery in place on the battery pack door. The tabs had come undone. The battery holder had to be replaced. Returning to a state of comfort.
You won't be able to take it back. I'm disappointed because it isn't going to work for me. There will be no refunds.
It worked perfectly.
