Getting an automatic thermostat for WiFi controller with a nicer interface wouldn't have been a bad idea. It was fine to see the logs, but it didn't have the feel of a real fire. Thus, I decided to exchange the fire wool for another kind. A different product was bought (not from Amazon but from a local store). It has been a month since I experienced it, and it hasn't improved much. So I went to Amazon and looked at the reviews. I realized it was still the old wool, so I contacted my friend. When I picked this up, I could not put into words how it differs. A little flame is continuously held close to the logs and it regularly glows like embers. You want it to do exactly what you want. We have enough for a second replacement because the pack has so many different items in it (when? A) the current wool begins to shed. I can see how it would improve your propane/gas fireplace in a big way.

This is a fantastic product

I ordered it for my dad's gas fireplace to make it more realistic. I took very little time to do it and it looks great! My sister pulled apart the wool clumps and placed them along the fire line so they would be smaller.

What it says is exactly what it means. A great glow emanated from the The bag contains only 5% of the liquid, so only a little goes a long way. After the first load, they "crackle and pop" a lot, but then they quiet and glow for a while.
