Questions & Answers

Do you think this is sturdy enough for use with a sewing machine? Can it handle its It's the kind of machine my daughter would like to use for sewing and drafting. ?

I do not think it would hold up to the constant rigors of sewing. I believe it could hold up to the weight of a sewing machine, but not the rigors of sewing. It would not be good to drag fabric that would cause a pushing and pulling effect. There are minimal leg contacts with the feet on this table due to its top-heavy construction. The answer depends largely on how much and how often you would like to sew.

Could this table be used with a parallel bar (like Mayline)?

Approximately 3/4 of this table's sides are exposed and are free of any obstructions underneath, as I can see there are none that would interfere with this device. In addition to being recessed a good inch and a half or larger, other mounting hardware is recessed slightly as well. There is only one obstruction on the bottom - a small pencil tray that does not cross What does this help with?

Can you let me know where I can obtain replacement U brackets and how to get in touch with seller?

Definitely recommended, Just Great, Sturdy, and I Loved it
5/5

There are no photos of the product's appearance straight out of the box on the product page (since there is a lack of those). My old drafting table top is practically the same size as the 42" table top that I am used to, which I am very glad to have measured before ordering We would've been unable to use the 36", because it was The product was in its original/shelf box with a packing slip attached (another way to say there was no packaging other than that which was enclosed in the box). This was fairly easy to bring downstairs to my studio (if you have carpeted stairs, it is even simpler - I did it with no problem at all Allow gravity to help you bring it down, then glide it across the carpet - guide it with both hands. The reason you should not strain yourself is Keeping the desk rather than the box is the right choice I opened the package dutifully Inspecting each piece as I removed it was a top priority. One thing that was a little concerning There seemed to have been several hits of a brick wall on the upper right corner before it was put in the box (I read similar damage in another review). Thanks to sand paper and stain, I can do just fine with that Assembling everything else was all there was to it Here we go.

It took me about two hours to put it together, but I am meticulous to make sure I am doing things well so that it will last me a long time, and it was a joy to put it By counting and marking off each part with a pencil in the manual, I made sure all parts were included before I started. Instructions are all visual (no step-by-step instructions Steps) over three pages, but I can learn that. Then, it is a very sturdy object. Here's a suggestion Custom cut desk mat (Desktex Anti-Slip This non-slip polycarbonate desk cover, featuring an embossed surface, measures 29 x 59 inches, in clear. It's similar to a chair mat, but with a few extra layers It is easy to cut with tin snips like these prevent damage to the tabletop from all the art I'm going to be creating. Additionally, the table angle doesn't need to be kept where you want it to be by using the holes provided. Please make sure that the U brackets are properly tightly secured with the side screws. ) So here are my experiences and a few photos to let you know what I think. I hope you enjoy your new table once it is assembled and that your experience with it is positive.

For the price, this looks beautiful and is great quality

It's designed to be angled, not flat, so it can be used at an angle. Please see https//www. nbsp While solving puzzles, I bought this table in order to reduce the strain on my back and neck. With a price tag of $150, this product is pretty impressive. I've shopped for puzzle boards and they are mostly the same price. It's nice to have a good deal This furniture piece is designed specifically for the purpose of displaying puzzles. Before purchasing I read all of the reviews and was worried that parts would be damaged or shotty. After 45 minutes of assembly, my skilled husband stated that all parts and screws fit together well and he had no trouble assembling it. I will let you watch the video to see how each moving part is described in full. A pros and cons list is included as well. The pros are
Very large work surface, perfect for puzzles, drawing, and enhancing creativity in general. The wood color is nice (not rustic) * Easy to assemble * Can be tilted to many different heights * Pencil tray works well and keeps things from sliding down an angled table * Can be used with a table height chair when angled If you need a flat surface, a standing surface or a high stool will work well. This chair can be adjusted to suit your needs This is perfect. Pros
Attractive
Affordable
Cons While lying flat, this mattress is a little unstable & wobbly. In addition, it does not look Rustic - (I would be disappointed if I bought it to work on a flat surface) It's got a slick surface that has a red oak look to it. When the package arrived, it had holes in it from when it left the factory (thank goodness the table was undamaged). The holes that allow you to adjust the table's height are large this causes it to wobble. (The most likely fix is a cheap one. )
When the peg/screw is secured, a certain amount of guesswork is required to set the tilt correctly The hole you plan to go for is hidden from your sight. I don't think you'll be able to work on it while standing unless you are really short. It would be ideal if there was a tall stool available. IMPORTANT NOTE Throughout our married life, my husband has worked with wood and built furniture. Can you tell me what his opinion is? There are only 2 legs and a lightweight base on it The device will wobble if you try to use it With a tilt it is more secure. Is $150 enough for what you get? For the money you spend, it's a pretty good deal. Additionally, you may be able to insert a wedge or piece of material for lessening the wobble if you're crafty. Here is some help, I hope it It would certainly be a purchase we make.

It is too low when tilted up for use, and is defective
3/5

The table arrived in the box and the instructions were simple and easy to read. It took me 45 minutes to assemble the table, but I was not able to assembly the right side of the table because it was only half way machinified where the U bracket inserts went. This is not a round hole that I could have drilled, rather it is a rectangular hole with a long shape. In order for it to work, I would have needed a replacement tabletop. Having been able to still set it up, with only 1 bracket, I was trying to decide what to do with it, as the table looks nice but is light (on the flimsy side).
I purchased it for these purposes Drawing or sketching. A chair that can be adjusted in height is still necessary when it is flat and parallel to the floor. **WHERE THE BUGS ARE When I TILTED up the surface to about 45 degrees, (or #2 of the 3 holes on the bracket) where I will be using it the most, the bottom edge (where the pencil ledge is) dropped so low that I could not fit my legs under when seated. (I'm 5 years old. A chair with a maximum height of 17 inches was set up for 115 lbs. should be adjustable so that it works The low edge is only 17" from the ground when tilted all the way up to hole #3, making almost 90 degrees. On the other hand, the one on hole #2 is 20 1/2" from the ground, at 45 degrees. It is, of course, my responsibility to return the table. As a result, I added some photos, I hope it will help somebody decide the right way and save time in the end.
