What's the maximum weight that you can carry?

My height and weight are 6' 2" and 240 pounds, respectively. There are no problems.

Is this product long-lasting and child-resistant?

I'm not sure what "Child Proof" means - it could mean it can withstand scissors. It is possible that it will not. In terms of durability, it is both extremely durable and extremely comfortable. There haven't been any noticeable scratches or tears that I've noticed. I have two dogs who use it as a bed, and the leather has held up admirably to their claws scratching it. I hope this information is useful.
