There was no assembly, as far as I can tell. It simply unfolds in the same manner as it did in the box.

This was purchased as a present for my Granddaughter. When she sits in it, she enjoys how it cocoons her. Yellow was her first choice, but it was out of stock. If it came in yellow, I'd get another.
