Although I had hoped for a 26-inch height, the 25-inch height is suitable for our island.
Although the leg ends are made of wood, I doubt they will scratch the floor. We bought a package of felt self-adhesive furniture pads from Home Depot just to be sure, and for the sake of quiet. The job can be done with a 1 1/2" circular pad.

They're sat on and used to stand on by a shorter child in order to reach something (don't judge; I don't allow it, but I do catch them doing it now and then). My family is notorious for being rough on things, so I'm blown away that these are still in such good condition! The adhesive felt pads eventually come off (because the stools are slid around a lot), so that was one change we had to make. We got the screw-in kind, and they've worked out great. I'm a larger woman (bottom size 20) and I'm actually quite comfortable on these stools (much more than I expected for stools!). I bought them for the kids to eat at the kitchen island, but they're also comfortable enough for me to sit in with another mom or my husband and enjoy some kid-free time while they play in another room. They are also well-liked by the children. br>br>I'm blown away by their durability! This is a very strong, solid piece of furniture. The seat's lines are visible but not overly so. They appear to be more natural in appearance than the listing photos. br>br>Adhesive felt feet for the legs are a must-have. They're quite thick, and some floors may be damaged as a result. My felt dots, which are 1" in diameter, work perfectly. If you wanted to, you could make it a little bigger. br>br>For four of the eight screws on each stool, you'll need a phillips head screw driver. For the other four screws, an allen wrench is included in the kit. Mrs. Not So Handy Mom put them together in 25 minutes on her own.
My 6-year-old daughter was seated on one of the stools when one of the legs snapped in half. The entire structure is made of rotten wood. You'll also need to drill the base for the screws because the holes are too small and the screws will strip if you try to drive them all the way in.
After only two months, the wood has started to split. It's also worth noting that assembly was difficult due to the dense nature of the wood and the lack of self-tapping screws provided. I had to use the drill to make pilot holes, and even then, it was difficult to get the screws to seat. br>br>These are chairs I would not buy again.
These are sturdy and substantial. To keep the paint from rubbing off on the floor, use a cushion on the legs. I like the saddle shape, and it's very comfortable for those who don't need back support. There are no backs of stools to obstruct my vision. If you require back support, purchase stools that include one, and do not criticize these stools for lacking one. I only have one complaint: The seat's finish has strange markings on it, as if the designer thought they would make it look distressed. That is not the case. They're simply peculiar. I've grown accustomed to them, and I'm considering purchasing a second pair. They attract the attention of everyone who enters the house.
This item is made of wood. The unit is simple to put together. Stools that are well-made and sturdy. Although the instructions state that power tools should not be used for assembly, if you know how to reduce the torque on your drill, you can do so and significantly speed up the process. However, because the wood is soft, if you don't reduce the drill's torque, you'll most likely split it by driving screws too far into it. The stools are comfortable, solid, and wobble-free once they've been assembled. I cut adhesive-backed felt pads to fit the feet and adhered them to them. br>br>I'm pretty happy, but I'd be even happier if I could buy a single stool - I'd like three for my kitchen, but there are only two packs available.
Overall, a fantastic product: heavy and sturdy, the seats are ideal for sitting at the counter and are roomy enough to keep you comfortable. There are no cuts in the backs of the legs. No sore bottoms from cramming my chubby buttocks into a tea saucer-sized seat. There will be no tipping stools due to their excessive top weight. br>These stools are ideal for all butts, regardless of size or shape! Perfect for young people who like to line them up and walk over the tops, as well as older people who require a little more stability when sitting. Very well made and simple to assemble. These stools come highly recommended by me!.
Chairs that are comfortable and sturdy. In a single box, a pair is well packaged. It's pretty simple to put together and won't take long: For both chairs, it might take about a half-hour. The hardware is already in place. However, all you'll need is a Philips screwdriver. My only criticism of these chairs is related to that: The screws you'll need to screw into the smaller wooded pieces are difficult to screw in by hand. At the very least, they won't go as far as other screws of the same type that have already been installed. screwed. So you can either use all of your strength with a screwdriver to drive them as deep as possible, or you can try using a power screwdriver and hope it doesn't strip the screws. br>In my opinion, this isn't a deal breaker, especially if you don't use the chairs frequently and/or won't put your feet on the wooded cross piece (which is difficult to fully screw in). br>br>Overall, these are chairs that I would recommend.
Unfortunately, there were two problems with our order. I ordered two stools, but only one was delivered with the necessary hardware. I contacted Amazon, who connected me with Ashley, who delivered the hardware about ten days later. When we went to put the second chair together, it was completely uneven, with one leg being significantly longer than the other. After a ten-day wait for missing hardware, it was extremely aggravating. Thankfully, my father has carpentry tools, which he was able to use to try to even out the legs, though it took a lot of effort. One of the stools, however, is now taller than the other. The stools themselves are a nice design, so I wish these issues hadn't arisen.
