I don't connect it to the wall because I don't use it. It is perfectly stable and does not wobble. If you wanted to, I believe you could also attach it to the wall.
To be honest, I have no idea; I only bought it. I just put pillows on the bench, but I think if you put it near the door, people will use it to remove their shoes for a few seconds.
It has a width of 21" and can be used to sit on. Please do not be concerned.
It's about 30 inches wide, and each rack can hold up to five coats and five pairs of shoes. High snow boots have a little less height, but they can still be worn with minor adjustments.

The reason for this is because of the directions. A certain number of different types of screws are available. There are eight heavy-duty screws (letter i) and fourteen regular screws (letter O). However, it appears that two different screws were combined in the directions (i. e. O) for only the letter i, which required a total of 22 screws. I had to decide where the 8 heavy duty screws (i) should go and where the regular 14 screws (O) should go. So, where the coat hook wooden boards connect to the metal poles, I used heavy-duty screws. Other than that, use regular screws. Everything went smoothly after that disaster. Until I had to dismantle the first half because one of the metal poles was in the wrong place. Aside from that, it's great. I'd make another purchase. br>*FIX THE DIRECTIONS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!.
We bought it with the intention of using it as an entryway coat and shoe rack, which I assume is what it was designed for, but due to the item's inaccuracy in manufacturing, it won't be used for the time being, at least until I can find a workaround that won't fall apart.
This purchase has been a great success for me! I have a habit of frequently changing my jackets and then stowing them in my kitchen chairs. They accumulate and make it difficult to get to a coat underneath the upper ones (not to mention that it looks bad). But I don't want to put them away in my closet because I know I'll just take them out again because the weather has been so unpredictable recently. I needed a coat hanger near my front door, and I needed a place to sit and kick off my shoes right away so I wouldn't be tempted to walk through my apartment if I had boxes or other items to bring in. br>br>Each shelf can hold approximately four pairs of shoes. Because I spend so much time at home, I don't get to use my rack as much as I'd like, but it's still convenient to have my most frequently worn shoes tucked away and close at hand. The bench is sturdy, so I don't mind putting heavy boxes on it when I enter the apartment with my hands full. The coat rack pictured above has a lot of storage space and is also quite sturdy. br>br>This is my only gripe. It wasn't really a complaint, but it was an annoyance with the installation. Everything had to be tightened slowly because the shoe rack part of the build seemed a little off/crooked. However, once everything was put together and tightened, it forced everything into place and hasn't caused me any problems.
I really like it, but the instructions weren't very clear about the different sizes of screws, and I accidentally damaged my bench by using one of the longer ones. On the other side, it pierced the wood a little, leaving a sad expression. The screws could have been more clearly labeled, in my opinion. br>br>Aside from that hiccup, this bench/rack fits perfectly in my entryway, has plenty of room for shoes, coats, and bags, and looks fantastic thanks to the wood finish. It's against the wall, so it doesn't move, but I did notice that the frame wasn't particularly rigid. br>br>I'm satisfied for the time being, but I'll most likely replace it in the future to avoid the broken wood bothering me indefinitely.
Assembly is a nightmare. Overall, this is an attractive addition to the foyer. I like the two layers of hooks, which are useful for masks, keys, and coats and scarves, among other things. Because the bench isn't particularly comfortable to sit on, I use it to store my belongings when I enter. It's strong enough, but I wouldn't use it for roughhousing. br>br>The main disadvantage is that it is extremely difficult to put together. Each of the nine hooks must be screwed in place, and there are no instructions, just a diagram showing how everything fits together. Because the screws were mislabeled, getting everything right took some guesswork and trial and error. In addition, the l-shirt came in two sizes. There is only one tool that is shaped in this way. Fortunately, I had a smaller one from a Swedish furniture store, so I had a choice, but if I hadn't, I would have ended up with some useless pieces that couldn't be screwed in at all. Even though I'm used to putting together budget furniture, it took me nearly two hours to finish. br>br>In the end, I'm glad it's here now that it's complete. I was thinking about getting a second one for storage, but after putting it together, I'm not sure I'll do it.
I was told it would take up to 6 weeks to arrive, but it only took less than two weeks. All of the pieces for assembly were present and simple to assemble. Your own strength is used to determine the sturdiness and stability. Yes, it will be flimsy if the bolts are not tightened. You'll be out of luck if you overtighten the bolt and strip it. In general, this is an excellent product. It fit perfectly into a small space in which I had it.
I bought this product in December 2020 and immediately began using it. I understand that higher-quality furniture is more expensive, so I wasn't expecting this to be top-notch. It was a great success for what it was. We store shoes on the bottom shelf and coats on the hooks. Approximately half of the hooks have begun to bend nearly in half. We live in a cold climate, so we have some heavy winter coats, but others prefer to hang a couple of light-weight jackets. Patagonia rain jackets and rain shells can be made lighter by adding weight to them. The supplier will not ship replacement hooks, but will offer you a 5% discount on repurchasing the complete item. I'll probably get hooks from somewhere else and use the rest of the product as is. I would not recommend purchasing this item because it was intended to be used to hang coats and the hooks are of such poor metal quality that they bend under the weight of those coats.
