An item with this defect doesn't work as it should, and is clearly defective.
We purchased this cooler for our office and it provides chilled and heated water equally well. This feature makes replacements easy since components can be loaded from below. Another benefit is that it signals us when the bottle inside the unit needs to be replaced when it is empty. During the heating process, half of a five gallon bottle leaked on wood floors and through the drywall ceiling of the second floor. My call to Brio resulted in Amazon directing me to my account. There was a replacement offered by Amazon. The second cooler has been An additional half-half five gallon water bottle spilled on the floor. This time, it flowed through the ceiling and wet it. There was a leak in the interior that only showed up an hour or so later. Reading all the great reviews was a delight. However, this item is a complete waste of time and money. It is best to be careful when purchasing.
