That doesn't seem to be the case to me. In case you are concerned, you might look into BPA-free metal straws.
In fact, it is designed to fit 12 ounce
There is no way for me to know. Could tin or aluminum be involved? I'm not sure.

In response to a video of a turtle whose plastic straw was removed from its nose, I decided not to use them any longer. was not sure if I would like metal straws, so I ordered this affordable set to see if they would work for me. The first few days I found using a metal straw odd, but after a few days, I no longer noticed the difference. It is a simple way to help reduce waste and save turtles at the same time.
A copy of this had been bought for myself to try My co-workers were so pleased with it that I purchased 22 more to give to them as Christmas presents. Then I thought of the idea of getting all of us involved in saving They come with a little brush to make cleaning them very convenient. I also love the fact that the metal has no funny taste and they are easy to clean. You can also carry a pouch in your pocket to make it even more convenient!.
These stainless steel straws are awesome! A 4 pack with 2 straight and 2 curved straws was what I got. The tumblers fit perfectly on my Yeti and Yukon tumblers, and they come with a brush for cleaning them, as well as a canvas bag to carry them. To me, the straight ones are the best because, depending on the shape of the tumbler, the curved ones have a tendency to move around. As a consequence, I no longer have to keep straws and can recycle them in the dishwasher! I am also helping the environment.
I would return them if I have not already done so, as I am not happy with these at all. It is impossible for them to be cleaned as well, as they are extremely flimsy. I can't wear them because they hurt my lips and they have extremely sharp edges. It isn't a good idea to purchase them. I would rather buy regular plastic straws since they are about the same quality to be able to be re-used again.
I didn't realize they were so short until I used them so I'm not able to use them with any cups I regularly use.
The last straw I bought was for $3 as I was looking for something to buy. I never thought about how much money I would save by using this. In addition, I began to realize that for years I had been drinking out of toxic plastics and now I won't use them. The purchase of this product sounds like a smart one!.
Because I have chosen to give up plastic straws, I'm glad I discovered these - and what a great deal!.
There are a lot of straws for a reasonable price. This is a very sturdy and easy to clean table.
