Questions & Answers
When pictures of skulls are made using water, is there a way to make the images look more clear?
Difference freezing is the only method to obtain clear ice cubes. In contrast, if any part of the cube is frozen, all parts will continue to freeze As the object freezes inward, it moves towards nowhere for trapped air and impurities to go, so they remain in the ice. No matter what kind of water is used, no matter how purified, such impurities remain in the ice. There is no hope for any of that. Clear ice can only be obtained by differential freezing (search it on the web) As seen from the top All impurities and air can be forced downward and out of the ice mold in this way.

They melt slower than conventional ice cubes, but is that really the case?
I agree with you that the ice melts slower than in It's all about the size of the skull ice cubes! The large size of these ice cubes means that they melt more slowly than ordinary ice cubes. The last time I ever counted the amount of time it takes for a half glass of water with one skull ice cube to melt down completely, You can use these ice cubes to keep your drink cold for an extended period of time while not greatly affecting its taste.
Selected User Reviews For Shaped 3D Skull Ice Mold, Super Flexible Silicone Ice Cube Mold, Makes Four Giant Skulls (Skull - Makes 4)
Definitely not my cup of tea
The followup of this company is excellent, and I would easily give them five stars, however I have some problems with this product. 1) The instructions mention locking the skull molds, and I have tried and tried again to do this without success. For the purpose of getting a feel for how they would lock, I have tried them both with and without liquid. While some locks are present at various points on the mold, I have not been able to lock it In addition to being non-locking, the trays do not allow one to create an ice skull because they do not close properly. **1) No videos or visual examples of how to lock molds are available. It was only in a video that I learned how to cut a hole and fill the molds that way, however, since I can't get the molds to lock all the way around, it will not As the ice freezes, the top of the mold comes up, which means the skull isn't good. 3) One review mentioned that people who can't follow directions are not capable of figuring this out. Despite reading the instructions, watching the videos, and trying everything I can, I am unable to lock these things. It is impossible for me to lock skull ice molds even though I can build a computer.

This is great for resin models! That's awesome! I'm so happy about them! The images above are both glow in the dark as well
I got this two times already and one mold did rip, but that's to be expected with resin. Nonetheless, I am going to use this quite a bit for other things and I know my geeky friends will love this as well! Although they are meant to be used for ice, they are also suitable for resin. In this case, I don't use the whole thing because that would mean going through a lot more resin, but I make them flat on The Halloween season will be a great time to sell them!.

There is nothing I can do about There's nothing that can make me happier than (I was super excited to get it, and we can all agree that it makes amazing molds, but I can't actually use it
The film is evident on the surface of this silicone mold. It's tainted, seeped, and smelled. I don't feel like I can use it, so I'd rather just dispose of Despite following instructions precisely and being careful to clean it thoroughly before using, I was unable to use the device. After that, I tried all the tips and tricks I could find on the Internet, but nothing This has never been of any use to me. Though I think it's an amazing concept, I just got a defective one or something, so I am really not satisfied in any way.

This is a fantastic product
Just make sure to thoroughly wash the silicone molds before using In the instructions it is said to fill the lower mold about two thirds Not only is the skull here, but this is also 2/3 of the whole mold. As you press the top portion in, you should see tiny beads of water squirt out (not enough to fill the hole). A paper towel was used to dry off any additional water around the mold's domes. You can put the mold in the freezer, twist it a little in each direction, and you will have pretty easily removed skulls. In the first batch, the skies were cloudy, but they still The next batch will be done with boiled water that has cooled, as it will produce clear ice. The only thing I do not like about them is that they are not very large. The pint got me through a glass of bourbon, but there was still a little left over. No matter how small the cubes are, they do not water it down as much as smaller cubes that vanish right before you finish.

Ice skulls in this size were more affordable here than anywhere else! If you want, you can do so here
It's so easy to use these trays for freezing up a two and a half pound chicken There are no words for how cool these are! There's no need to use more than one ice cube skull per drink. When you have it right, it is quite easy to accomplish and will consistently achieve the same result. It may take one or two tries, but once you have it, it is very simple. As the holidays progress, will be buying more of them to satisfy the need! I have already ordered several more. This is a terrific deal for an item that will come in handy! You can get these with ease and consistency, unlike others on the market that do the same thing, but as I noted these produce a very large ice skull with little effort and hassle.

It's very easy to use, as long as you follow the instructions
The size is a bit smaller (as listed), but obviously fantastic, and they are easy to produce many of quickly and easily. In the unfortunate case that humans are stupid, people invent an alternative to following the directions included with them and filling them through This is not the way to go. It says to fill the bottom tray about 1/3 full, so you simply fill it up If you fill your bottom tray half way, then push the top one over it, you will get little skulls almost as perfect as possible. It is crucial to find the precise spot on the bottom tray to place the filling. Putting a line would be a great idea, however, anyone can figure it out very quickly. It's not worth the time to double boil water. There is no such thing as this. Nothing can be done with distilled water. Fast freezing results in cloudy ice, which is due to trapped air. You can only get clear ice by directing ice in a predetermined way (by using a Clinebell machine or an Igloo cooler in the open). A slow directional freezing occurs, pushing the trapped air in the water to the end of the frozen water, at which point you cut or saw it There is no way to get skulls that are as clear as the photo, no matter what you do, unless you use directional freezing and/or slow freezing.

This item does not amount to Unlike blobs, ice cubes appear to have no shape
The instructions are unclear about where the 1/3 line is located. The silicone tray does not have an indication of where the line is located. I've tried twice and have had terrible results each time. The whole thing was a complete There is a very poor explanation of where the 1/3 mark on the ice tray is in the instructional video. I tried every option I could think of for the 1/3 fill line, and the skull ice cubes looked nothing like skulls as a result. I would not pay $11 for this!.

My name is Shiver me Timbers, and this ice is a The ice skulls had the most accurate and detailed description and photos of the products, so I selected them over some ice death stars and a set that makes up to 12 cubes or spheres at a time
Their awesomeness cannot be described. I can't stop admiring them. A thorough wash could not effectively remove the taste of silicone from the first batch I did another wash before the second cycle, this time without ice, to make sure the second batch had no taste. Getting them to fit together is a little challenging, however they make up the front and back halves of the skull (respectively), so even if you don't make the seal you definitely get to make the face. Alternatively you could make just the faces if you preferred. Although I'm not sure whether I would have been willing to spend the money for a 12 skull version if there was one, now that I am making 4 skulls at a time, I might buy one or two If I do one freeze cycle in the morning and another in the evening, I'll be able to freeze two times per day if I do one in the morning and one I'm not sure I can build a strong stockpile of ice skulls in Az at 8 ice skulls per day between 2 people. My schedule would have to change in order to get three or more freeze cycles, and I wouldn't be able to do it. You do not have to worry about spilling between the sink and freezer or bumping the ice trays before they're frozen since fill time will be about the same as standard ice trays.
