This is absolutely fantastic! This is the best Amazon purchase we've ever made. Good quality, simple to put together, and capable of reducing six to seven trash bags of uncrushed cans to less than one.
This item does require some assembly, but it is fairly straightforward. It's well-made and has holes for mounting on a wall or board; I mounted it on a 2x6 that can be held in a stationary vise, and when I'm not using it, I take it off the vice and put it away. I can lock it in place at an angle in the vise, causing cans to fall out automatically. I've only had it for a short time, but I've already crushed a few cans. It uses a lot of air, so expect to have to stop and wait for your air compressor to catch up, especially if it's a small one.
Product arrived quickly, was simple to put together, and crushed cans quickly. The only major issue was that the cylinder bolts that hold the end caps in place were not centered correctly, which I had to correct so that I could use the supplied fasteners to mount the cylinder to the frame assembly. I'm going to change the location of the valve because it's close to the frame assembly when connecting the air line, and I'd like to mount it vertically and use the exhaust from the valve to blow off the crushed can. I like how the cylinder ends have air cushions on them to prevent the rod end from coming to a hard stop.
When I first opened the box, there appeared to be a lot of hardware, but once I opened the bag, there was very little, and it was so simple to put together that I just looked at the picture and put it together in about 15 minutes. It's truly amazing. It's a complete scumbag. And it's so solid and long-lasting that it doesn't feel cheap. This is one purchase I am confident in saying was well worth the money. plus a little more It has the appearance of a toy rather than a tool. This is something I could do all day if I wanted. It makes me want to rummage through the garbage cans of my neighbors in search of more cans to recycle. I just want to mess around with it. If you're looking for a unique way to.
I made a stand for it, and now we can crush a ton of cans in a matter of minutes. Until we bring them in, it certainly takes up less space in the yard.
Poor quality leaked at every possible connection with threads or hoses, even when the hoses were held in place. Something about the material sizes is incorrect.
After pushing the dang button for 150 pounds of 12 and 16 ounce cans, my fingers hurt. In retrospect, I should have gone with the foot valve. I would strongly recommend this air can crusher because I had no problems with it. If you have a large number of cans to process, I recommend using the foot valve.
