The top is very wide and fills up quickly. Pancakes, cupcakes, and puddings have all been made with it. I really like it, and I'm sorry I didn't get one sooner. It's a good idea to put a saucer underneath it because small drips can occur.
I just measured the hole's diameter and it's about 1/2". Small blueberries, I suppose, would pass, but not the larger ones that occasionally appear in the container. I hope this has been of assistance.
Perhaps if the batch is small. A cake mix will not fit in it. Although the opening is small, I believe a small whisk could fit inside. It's important to keep in mind that this is plastic. again. I'm not sure how well it would stand up to the test of time - it's possible to crack
Don't waste your money, believe me! There isn't any preference. It's supposed to dispense if you just pull the lever. It was too thick of a batter for cupcakes. For this to be worth your time, you'd need a very thin thin batter; otherwise, it's a waste of time.

it broke. I started with this model because it was cheap and had good reviews; however, I am not a huge fan of it. It was great for making pancakes, but the plastic handle broke after only one use, when I was making pancakes for a group of about 40 people, which is why I bought it in the first place. I was able to replace the springy metal part in the handle (which will move around and come loose if you aren't careful), but the handle is now pushing apart, and I suspect it will only be a matter of time before the bottom cracks as well. I'll be on the lookout for one with more capacity and higher-quality materials.
Not overly impressed, but the return process was simple and free, so there's no harm in giving it a shot if you want to, because many others do. My goal in purchasing this was to (1) reduce the number of kitchen utensils I used, (2) have less of a mess from dripping between the mixing bowl and measuring spoon, and (3) speed up the overall process of making pancakes for our family. It is suggested that you simply combine the ingredients in the cup and dispense, but I found this to be ineffective. When shaking the mixture together, dribbles of batter spilled out onto the sides due to the top's lack of seal - The second condition was not met. Also, some of the batter clumped at the bottom and did not mix with the rest, so I had to use another spoon to stir the batter together and disperse it - The first requirement was not met. Even with the top on, the batter dispenses slowly, so you'll need to hover over each pancake for a few seconds to get a decent size - The third condition was not met. When you remove the dribbly, messy top, the liquid dispenses far too quickly - ugh. As an added bonus, the trigger handle is too close to the inside of the cup, so my medium-sized hands have a hard time gripping it. Without dispensing accidentally, a large hand could barely fit in. This one didn't work for me, despite your efforts. Returns are once again free and simple, so thank you to Amazon and the seller for that.
I'm so happy I bought it. Making pancakes has never been easier or faster. Filling cupcakes is a lot more sanitary. Cleaning is a breeze. It's extremely simple to use. There are no leaking issues. In the top rack of the dishwasher, it has performed admirably. br>br>I mix my batter directly in the dispenser because I'm lazy and don't like dirtying extra dishes. If you want to be lazy like me, add a small amount of water or liquid before adding any dry ingredients. The water acts as a barrier, preventing the dry ingredient from clogging up the pour spout or failing to mix. If you forget to add the water first, pour about a tablespoon of your batter into the sink first because the unmixed dry ingredients will settle at the bottom and your family will mock you for pouring unmixed pancakes (clearly speaking from personal experience).
I placed an order for TWO batter dispensers. They arrived on the 12th of November. The first one failed during the first week of December while preparing a cupcake order. The second incident occurred at the start of the Christmas holiday week. BOTH of them had their bottom white rings fall off. The batter was all over the place. Needless to say, neither of them will be getting a replacement. A disgruntled customer, to say the least!.
For a few uses, it was fine. When I squeezed the trigger to dispense the batter, the clear plastic handle snapped.
I use this Batter Dispenser for two things: Pancakes on the Griddle and Filling Cupcake Cups. br>For Pancakes, I just use a box mix and spoon some mix into the dispenser, add some water, and mix with a small whisk to get the consistency I want, a little runny side so it flows easily out of the dispenser, then to the Griddle or Waffle maker for breakfast. It's easy and quick to clean up.
Cupcakes are delicious, but they're a pain to clean up. I'll be able to make them without difficulty now! I'll almost certainly purchase this as a gift for my family and friends. Get it, is my advice.
I would give this 5 stars if it didn't have a metal slide, but the picture is a little off. I checked out other brands, and they all appear to be the same device with a different name. I bought it on Amazon because it appeared to be a higher-quality product than the others. But I was mistaken. If you look closely at the picture, you can see that the bottom slide is made of metal or aluminum, which is why I bought it. This is the point at which the break will occur. That made me very happy. It is not metal or aluminum, as I discovered when I opened the package. Because it is white plastic, just like every other brand, I gave it three stars. I assume the older models were made of metal, but the newer models are made of cheap plastic. br>br>Aside from that, it's great and I'm pleased with the results. With the slide change they made, it just won't last as long as I hoped.
