The item description states that it can be washed in the dishwasher. Before having this meal, my wife has no idea what she did to the meat.

There are meat tenderizers that leave you with a light gray film if you wash your hands after using them. Are we going to be able to accomplish this?

If you like pounded meat, don't put it into the dishwasher

A solid food will do what is expected of it, it will pound and tenderize. I did not give it 5 stars because no matter how many times I put it in the dishwasher, the chrome/polished coating washes off leaving This results in the player being unable to whack, smack, or flatten the enemy? I agree, but you do hope that if you order a lovely chrome meat hammer it stays that way for a while! Update to 4 stars - Thanks for your feedback! Even though the appearance may be somewhat odd, the product remains functional. I responded to the owner who advised me to take care of the item and offered to replace it (which I declined since the mallet is still in great condition) There's no need to add more to the landfills.

A masterpiece of simplicity and craftsmanship

I now have to rely on my wonderfully helpful husband to do all the cooking since I had to become bedridden. The year is The mallet that was used to work on the car was an old one. It was at that point that he knew he had lost. The mallet is relatively inexpensive, so I decided the replacement is needed due to our age. These Spring Chef meat mallets are of such high quality that I can hardly believe them. The Spring Chef is his favorite gift he brings into our bedroom to showcase the exquisite simplicity of the beautifully crafted mallet. He also bragging about how thin HIS chicken breasts are. (Grumble) He's not allowed to take it out of the kitchen.

Is there a reason to buy aluminium when you can get stainless steel instead? There was a layer of black soot on it when it came out

From then on, I no longer use it for my family. Even though it often was a hassle to separate hand and machine wash it, they had done a good job. A way of putting it It is good to see you go. My next purchase will be one that can be washed.

It is a perfect solution for the price. Making jerky is one of my favorite things to do and I needed a Rubber is used on the handle, but it still has a nice feeling of I don't think I will need a new one anytime soon - it seems like it will last quite a long time.

As you tenderize the meat, the fibers and fat that are left on the edges stick to the points and need to be scrubbed and rinsed away. nutshell, this is what this means. This is disgusting.
