I took a risk with this because I needed to replace an old wooden one. It's all in one piece, and it's very well designed. I gave one to each of my children because I liked it so much.
Commercial-grade stainless steel is mentioned in the description. I'm not sure what that means, but I've already used it a few times and enjoy the feel and weight of it.
I'm not sure what would cause it to wear out to the point where the warranty would be needed - Unless you're swinging a heavy club at a particularly tough piece of roadkill. After all, it'll only set you back $15.
I believe the stainless steel is of good quality. On the one hand, the mallet (which weighs in at 13 oz.) is substantial. 75 ounces), and the few times I've used it, it's performed admirably. br>br>Because I've never tried the OXO, I can't make a comparison. I'm just sure I'm pleased with it. It has a solid feel to it, and it performs similarly. br>br>Once again, I believe the quality is excellent.

Second, the handle's black coating was flaking off at both ends when it arrived, so it's not going to last long, and I have no idea what it's made of - I'm hoping it's not toxic in any way. Third, it isn't a single piece that is well-built. Where the metal pieces are assembled, there are numerous thin recesses and openings that can and will easily trap food particles and bacteria. I'll try to remember to use this only between wax or butcher paper from now on. It's quite heavy, which is a good thing, and the rounded nubs, as opposed to more traditional squared-off nubs, are a nice touch. Although pyramidal points will not perform as well as a more traditional meat tenderizer, finding one in stainless steel has proven to be extremely difficult.
I make a lot of chicken-based dishes, and one thing I despise is chewing tough meat for an eternity. My old mallet, which had a detachable head, had been in my possession for quite some time. It worked, but it was inconvenient because the head was prone to falling off and it was quite heavy. This mallet, on the other hand, is absolutely perfect, and I adore the way it feels in my hand; it doesn't slip and isn't too heavy. It's worked wonders for both flattening and tenderizing. I have a small kitchen, so the fact that it has a hook that I can use to simply hang it up is fantastic. The fact that it can be washed in the dishwasher is an added bonus!.
Others I've purchased have been far too. Love it. Others I've purchased were far too light. This is the ideal weight: it's heavy enough to make a cutlet but not so heavy that you'll pound it to death. The dimpled side is also advantageous; normally, the pointed and sharp sides rip the meat. These have a rounded tip to them. Everything is in order. I strongly suggest it.
First and foremost, as stated in another review, the product arrived already used/damaged. The mallet is covered in tiny nicks. br>br>Though the construction appears to be solid, there are joins and seams in the metal that appear to be ideal hiding spots for bacteria. br>br>Also, the little nubs that are supposed to tenderize your meat aren't doing their job. focus on the mallet we're using. All of this would be acceptable if it weren't so inexpensive, but it's the same price as the OXO tenderizers, so.
This does exactly what it says on the tin, and it does so admirably. The head is heavy enough to consistently pound the meat without having to slam it against a hard surface. Tenderizsr is a fantastic Meat Tenderizsr!.
This is a good tenderizer at a good price that should do the trick for most people, and it comes in a stylish design with a nice pollished finish. My only criticism is that the tenderizing component is a little too subtle and does not penetrate as deeply as I had hoped. The weight and balance are satisfactory, and the flattening side is ideal for flattening meats for schnitzels (my preferred method). Note: This tenderizer is a little on the light side, and mine had a slight divet on the side when it arrived.
It does exactly what it says. br>br>Following the demise of a previous tenderizer, This one appears to be a little more durable than the overly enthusiastic, ill-planned frozen meat coercion involving a knife and a cast tenderizer. br>br>On occasion. I just need to be a little more organized at times. But I wouldn't be here writing random product reviews for other people's entertainment/my own internal amusement if that were the case. Don't pass judgment on my cryogenic meat hacking attempts. (OK, go ahead and pass judgment; could you please respond to this review? No. No, you're not going to be able to do that.
b This meat mallet is lightweight but sturdy, and it feels great in the hand. It's made of stainless steel and is simple to clean and wash - I like how the spiky side isn't really spiky, but rather small round bumps, and that it's dishwasher safe. It performs the same function as spiky type mallets, but without tearing the plastic wrap or paper used to cover the meat while pounding it thin/tenderizing. This product is of excellent quality, and the price is comparable to that of inferior products.
