Pre- chill it! Refrigerate the meat before grinding it, as this will benefit both the meat and the attachment.
There's no need to put anything in the freezer. Because metal shrinks when it is frozen, it may cause the parts to not fit properly. It may not be a significant difference, but it can result in items being slightly smaller and not fitting together properly. Now, keep the meat cold but not below freezing to avoid it becoming a sloppy mess. We used to keep the big grinder and meet in a refrigerator in the meat department of a local grocery store where I worked. However, freezing the meat puts additional strain on the blades, which can cause them to break or chip. It also generates more heat because the grinder must work harder to push the meat through the plates and blade. So just remember to keep the meat cold, and maybe even put the parts in the fridge for a few minutes, but never freeze it.
I made five 5-pound batches and everything turned out fine. Total weight was around 30 lbs. Over the course of two days. After mixing everything together and letting it marinate for 24 hours, it's ready to eat. Stuffing sausages should be done 48 hours ahead of time. This isn't a professional mixer, and it's not particularly fast, but it got the job done.
Mine broke a few weeks ago, and you can request a replacement from the seller.

My SO and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen together, so I picked this up on the spur of the moment as a new activity to try. We attempted to make sausages and had a good time. It was incredibly simple to grind things with the attachment, and stuffing sausages was a breeze; however, we made the mistake of grinding the meat twice, which resulted in it being too finely ground for the right sausage texture. Cleaning the interior was a breeze with the brush. The coarse grind is shown in the first photo. Because we were concerned about the motor burning out, we did this first and then ran it through a second grind at the fine setting. It turned out to be a blunder. It was unnecessary and made it more difficult to push through. There is no need to pre-program the kitchen aid before using it. grind it. My sausage suggestions are as follows: br>br> br>Use the Medium grind setting to grind and stuff all at once. Set the kitchen aid to speed 4 and keep it there. br>Before using, chill all of the equipment. br>As you stuff the casings, try to hold them back a little so they're not too full.
I was overjoyed when I saw this grinder because it is made of metal and includes sausage stuffing tubes! It's simple to put together and stays put for a long time. I was able to turn a roast into burgers with relative ease. A chicken breakfast sausage was also on the menu. To see how well it works, I chose to use the smallest plate. I used partially frozen chicken breasts, cut them into chunks, mixed in my spices, onions, and ghee, and ground everything together. It also produced excellent sausage. I was a little concerned about clean-up, but after following the instructions here, it was incredibly simple and quick! The brush that comes with it does an excellent job of quickly cleaning it out. I would strongly advise anyone interested in making their own ground meat to purchase this product. It's also much less expensive to make the sausage than to buy it. The only issue I had was that I am short and it was difficult for me to see the top of the grinder where the meat feeds in, but I was able to get by without using a stool or chair. (Ignore the dishes in the sink; we had a plumbing problem that day. ).
The unique sausage-making tool is one of my favorites. I haven't found any other product that compares to what this one has to offer, especially at this price! A must-have.
grinder on the side Meat is very well ground. Because all of the major components (except the grinding blade and plates - which are made of steel) are made of aluminum. They are not dishwasher safe, even though they appear to be made of stainless steel. No problem at all! P. I don't have any ties to the company - whatever the case - in this business.
I even tried freezing the meat, but it just clogs up again after a few minutes of thawing!.
I've recently become interested in smoking meats, and this combination appealed to me. I'm capable of grinding meat and stuffing sausages. It's simple to put together right out of the box with the help of your Kitchenaid mixer. The smoked turkey was my first attempt at grinding. The grind was very fine and even. On my next project, I'm going to try raw meats, followed by stuffing attachments. The auger as well as the grinder blade are extremely durable. Although the grinder's outer shell appears to be a little lighter, it has proven to be durable.
Today was the first time I used it. The results have exceeded my expectations. br>It already has the attachments needed to create links; all I need to do now is figure out how to do so.
It's well worth the money, and it grinds meat extremely well. It's a healthy way to ensure that the ground meat you eat is of good quality by grinding the meat yourself.
