Questions & Answers
Rice should not be ground using the food processor attachments.
This is a question that you should direct to the manufacturer. It's made for KitchenAid stand mixers, and it lists the models that it'll work with.
I've never tried grinding walnuts, but there's no reason why you shouldn't. I also have the Grain Mill attachment, but walnuts are too soft to grind in that, so I'd use the Meat Grinder if I needed to grind a soft nut.

I've always wanted a meat grinder, primarily to grind my own ground meat rather than making sausage, especially to make custom beef blends and grind pork and other meats that aren't commonly found in stores. br>br>At first glance, the parts appear to be very similar to those offered by Kitchenaid, though the finish appears to be slightly different. The grinding plates and sausage attachments, on the other hand, appear to be nearly identical. I also appreciate the fact that this grinder is entirely made of metal, as opposed to other grinders I've seen that contain some plastic components. br>br>So far, I've only used it to make smash burgers (which were delicious!). ), and assembly was a breeze, with the kitchenaid mixer's powerful motor making grinding the meat a breeze. The only drawback is that the parts are not dishwasher safe, but I believe this is true of other similar grinders as well. br>br>At nearly half the price of the Kitchenaid mixer, this appears to be a good deal so far. Time will tell how well it holds up, but I believe the metal construction alleviates some of my concerns.
The quality of metal used for the extrusion rod, extrusion tube, and food tray did not impress me - The manual specifically states that it should not be cleaned in a dishwasher because it is weak and scratchable. High-quality metal is used for the blades and extrusion disks. The inside of the narrower sausage tube cannot be cleaned with the cleaning brush. I returned this product for a stronger, longer-lasting version because the pieces included in the set are a few more than in KitchenAid's version.
This is a fantastic product that attaches quickly and easily. We're really looking forward to making our own sausages.
It's far superior to my expectations. It's less expensive than the branded version and comes with the sausage stuffing attachments, so it's a great deal. Because I just got it, I can't speak to its durability or longevity, but it did a good job grinding several pounds of Chuck/Sirloin into hamburger patties. So far, there haven't been any regrets. br>br>.
It was a perfect fit for my Kitchenaid and was a breeze to use. I quickly and easily ran 30 pounds of chicken breast through it. The instructions for assembly and use are straightforward and straightforward. I did have some difficulty getting it to fully insert, but I eventually discovered a loose small ball bearing in my Kitchenaid unit (which was not the grinder's fault). I'm just hoping it was an oversight on Kitchenaid's part and not a sign of impending trouble.
Meat grinding has been a simple and trouble-free process. Unlike the smaller plastic and manual grinders I've used in the past, it's completely free, and it's also very easy to clean. Quality and excellent packaging are built into this product. I'm looking forward to using it on a regular basis for many years to come. This model was recommended to me by a friend, and I am grateful to her. This offer is unbeatable. It is something I strongly suggest.
I didn't want any plastic attachments for my new mixer, and this was a good price for all metal attachments. It was a breeze to get it to work with my KitchenAid. I haven't used it to grind anything yet, but it appears to be a well-made and durable piece of equipment. I was able to easily repackage it in its original packaging, and I love how many different pieces there are for coarse to fine grinding. I intend to purchase a large quantity of meat on sale and grind my own burgers and chicken brats. This was an excellent investment! The top funnel part is a little sharp in spots around the rim, which I think could be an issue. With my dremel, I'm sure I'll be able to smooth it out. Aside from that, it's fantastic! I'll update after I've used it to let you know how well it grinds and cleans up.
