This is a replacement for the one that came with my Sam Baere grinder about 15 years ago, because the plastic had cracked, compromising the structural integrity of the grinder. As with the previous pusher, this one is made of plastic, but it is As I mentioned in my previous post, I don't feel like the shaft is hollow like my old Assuming it lasts as long as the grinder, this will last for a long time.
