How long do the parts last in the dishwasher? The pieces might rust, do I have to worry about that?

You can put all the parts in the dishwasher. Be sure all items are completely dry prior to storing them. There have been no rust issues with my unit and I have had it for a long time.

Good quality and well built
4/5

No pitter is ever going to be perfect. I used this to pit several gallons of dried sour cherries. Generally, I do not know how it works with sweet cherries, but it may occasionally miss the pit when you are using the smaller sour cherries, but this happens to any pitter in my experience. Considering it attaches to a standard canning jar, it is a good way to see if the pit drops and keeps things neat. My favorite part of that was. In this machine, there's a rubber piece through which the pit is pushed, and I ended up having to purchase a couple extras because it stretched and lost some functionality over time. If you buy it, check out the manufacturer's web page where you can order the rubber pieces.

The idea is good, but the execution is poor
3/5

In short, yes. Most of the time, it is able to remove the pits. It was not uncommon for the pitter head to slide off the pit after pitting three bags of bing cherries, leaving a hole (with a hidden pit The problem is worse when the surface is soft or medium-hard There are cherry varieties of all sizes. It was necessary to hold the cherry with my other hand when it was larger and firm to keep it from twisting. The glass collection jar is nice, and the push-button works well. Despite its simplicity, the pin design is stamped-style, making it difficult to use. It is a metal that is easily bent. There's a pit in there Perhaps by using a more robust plunger with a larger (, the sliding problem can be reduced. It has a wider diameter and For idea, I give it a five-star rating. For construction-quality, I give it a two-star rating.

The mason jar pitter is useful for pitting cherries
4/5

Despite expecting it to be boxed, it came in a mailing envelope. I guess I was expecting a box, but didn't realise that this was a shipping envelope. Despite its bent shape, the metal ring that screwed on to the jar could not be used. It was lucky for me that I am a food canner and I was able to replace the ring easily. You can use it fairly easily and it is easy to clean as well.

You'll love how easy it is to pit cherries with this gadget! I love this little gadget for pitting cherries! It works as advertised and actually makes it easier for me! It is very easy to install - screw the lid on top of the cherry stem, place the cherry stem side up across the gasket-lined hole in the lid, then push the spring-loaded pitter down
5/5

Using a central hole in the cherry, the pit is pushed through. Above the jar, the cherry pits are neatly collected. Nothing to worry about, nothing to fuss about, and nothing to dirty up! I wish I knew about this product earlier, but I only regret not learning about it Cherry lovers in my family and friends will appreciate the additional purchases I will be making.

I think there could have been better followup for this product
4/5

This is a great product, I've used it immediately, and I'm really pleased with it. A second piece of silicone is required In an email, I ordered as instructed, but have not received any response from them, nor have I been contacted by them. There is no way to determine how long the original band will last, and the bands are no longer available. The value of it is lost without it. (I give it.

I have never seen anything better than this cherry pitter
5/5

It took the cherry tree some time to produce enough cherries for both birds and us to enjoy, so this little gem was a real treat. Cherry pitting is easy and the cherries are not damaged and do not drip once they are I find it to be so simple and The inventor has done a great job! Besides the recipe for a spicy cherry sauce on the back of the card, I loved the rearside of the card as well.

This is a game changer! Pitting cherries became a whole lot easier with this innovative tool! In total, we had 40 pounds of cherries to pit, and we used two of them
5/5

It took us 20 minutes to pit all the cherries and the fruit wasn't squished with juice everywhere! I would recommend these over other pitters because they worked great and were well worth the investment.
