There are four in the set. in the two round and two square shapes shown
Yes. It's something I do on a regular basis with no issues.
No, I do not advise it.
Softness is a highly subjective term; when I think of "softness," I imagine rabbit fur or brushed flannel. They are, however, extremely adaptable. I use them as pot holders, trivets for hot pots and dishes on the counter or dining table, and coasters for cold wet pitchers with condensation that drips onto the dining table. I've seen thinner/lighter gauge silicone trivots that I'm not sure would withstand heavy use and provide adequate heat protection. The gauge, feel, and design of these are all very appealing to me. If food or debris spills into the retracted honey comb depressions, they are simple to clean. I just toss them in the dishwasher or run them under the faucet to clean them. I've even purchased a couple of additional sets to give as gifts. They were also well received by the recipients. I hope this information assists you in making your choice. They come highly recommended from me.

I was overjoyed, but my clear vinyl tablecloth was left with a bubble pattern. To avoid this, I purchased these trivets. sad.
20 years. I had no idea silicone trivets existed until I looked them up on Amazon! We went ahead and bought them despite our reservations. After about a month of use, I can confidently say that the silicone trivets are excellent! The silicone trivets are easy to clean and can be used to open jars, remove pots and pans from the oven, and, of course, protect your counters from hot pans and pots.
I had two of these "years ago" that are still in excellent, nearly new condition! When I saw these and read the reviews, I had to see if they were as well made as my old ones, and they are. I am very happy with them and am glad I found them on Amazon. The "BEST silicone potholders and trivets ever!" "They aren't big enough for drying mats, but that's not why I bought them. I read reviews and look at pictures. " Before you buy anything, do some research on the products.
So, what the hell did I do? I ordered these because they are not too expensive when you consider that you can clean them up with a damp tag and water. Use to serve meals under hot dishes and pans on your counter tops and table tops. They should continue to lay thickly for as long as possible. If there is condensation or a gravy leak, the weave pattern comes in handy. WINNING! To protect our table, I ended up purchasing an additional set of dining plates. Then I went out and bought two that were large enough to hold a casserole, as well as matching gloves! Eureka! These will be given as Christmas gifts to sisters and daughters!.
I'm so in love with these potholders that I ordered a second set. I have a few metal pot holders that I adore, but when it comes to putting a glass pie plate on top of them, onto a metal pot, cake pan, or platter- It slides around on the pot holder, and I'm always concerned that if it's knocked, it'll fall off. These are ideal for use with hot glass pans. They are easily manipulated for removing items from the microwave (ours is mounted high above the counter). br>br>I put one of these in the bottom of my teapot. When making a beautiful cup of tea, use this pot. It protects my counter and the silicone keeps the pot secure in place when I place it on a tray to take to work; as an added bonus, it keeps my tea warm with the help of a cozy. br>br>Did you spill something? No problem at all! It's as good as new after a quick wash in the sink. These pot holders are fantastic.
When I had my countertops refinished, I was told that only silicone trivet pads should be used on the quartz. They're simple to work with and can be used for anything.
