It's been wonderful every single time I've used a variety of oven temperatures. I am not sure what the official answer is, but I can tell you what I've tried.
It would be used in conjunction with a wood stove when the fire is not burning because the wood stove cannot be adjusted to an oven temperature. They look great and provide some protection at the same time! I also used them in my kitchen sink.

I have never had a problem putting something from the oven on my granite counter by using THIS HOT PAD. The way I usually do it is to throw a hand towel down. I FIND IT TO BE A PERFECT SIZE AND MUST SAY THAT IT IS A FEATURE OF THIS PRODUCT IS YOU CAN PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER, IT'S HEAT AND COLD RESISTANT, IT'S NON TOXIC, EASY TO CLEAN, AND I KNOW YOU WILL LOVE IT! A brief update For myself, I bought it six months ago and use it as my go-to trivet for anything and It's on my counter, and I like how it looks.
