My surprise was when I discovered that the straws sat a lot lower than the advertisement suggested. In addition, the holder is also quite lightweight, which was also appreciated. Also, we find it very easy to wipe down and it has really made our lives easier. I have saved so much time and stress with this device because my son won't drink anything without a straw, so now we're able to actually have our paper straws out and readily available for use.
