This is precisely what I was looking for! The straw is a little long, but I cut it down to fit the funtainer F400. Despite the fact that I purchased this cup from Walmart in January, the company does not sell replacements for these "older" cups. The straws that come with them aren't exactly bite-proof, but I'm sure these are because they're made of thick rubber.
I couldn't find a replacement Thermos straw for my daughter's older stainless Spider-Man water bottle. I chose the 12 oz Funtainer. Although the rubber piece does not fit as well as the original, it is functional. It takes some effort to remove it from the lid for washing, but the straw that goes in the mouth is much stronger than the original. When chewed on, it doesn't rip or tear like the original. The bottom portion of the straw is slightly longer than the original, but it bends and flexes to fit. These replacement straws were more expensive than the Thermos I originally purchased, but because my daughter loves hers, I decided to spend the extra money on a replacement straw assembly.
Finally, I decided to do some research to find a suitable replacement; these arrived quickly and fit perfectly!.
The funtainer was purchased from Walmart, and there are no replacements available anywhere else. Our children chewed through the originals. . . ugh. . . these, on the other hand, haven't shown any signs of wear yet, despite the fact that we've had them for months. They don't appear to be leaking either.
Edit: My child was able to chew of the trip 8 months later, ugh.
My funtainer water bottle sat in my cabinet for years after the top straw ripped and the bottle began to leak. I once attempted to purchase a replacement, but it was the incorrect model. I was hesitant to purchase another because I was concerned that it would not fit. These are comfortable and have held up well for the past two months. The material is slightly thicker and appears to be less prone to tearing. Because the interior straw was too long, I had to cut it down to fit.
The non-smoker will love it. thermos in your hand The material is noticeably softer, and the upper portion's wall thickness is roughly half of what it was before. In the end, this might be preferable to the originals, which cracked at the pinch point when the lid was closed. The thinner material may have more flex and be less prone to the same fate as the thicker material.
They're the right size for the container, but there are some extra plastic bits hanging off the straw's end. My son, who suffers from tactile sensitivity, was unable to use them.
