Questions & Answers
They would, in fact. They'd look nice, but they'd fall off the inside tray, making it difficult to pull up the dispenser, just like the straws did. To keep this from happening, I tie a ribbon around my straws.
Because it's at my beach condo, I don't know the exact dimensions. I'm currently residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It appears to be quite large, based on my memory. 9" straws would most likely fit. It is made of glass. is nice.

I purchased a returned item, but the description didn't mention any damage, so I'm disappointed there is, but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. The metal lid (which was dented twice) and insert are both made of thin sheet metal that twists and dents easily. They appear to be durable (if you don't have children), but they would be severely damaged if the holder was knocked over, hit with an object, or dropped. The outer glass, on the other hand, is thick glass that appears to be breakproof. It survived a single drop from counter height with no damage. For me, it's a good enough product, but if I could compare shop and feel the holders, I'd go with something a little thicker in metal.
This is a lovely glass dispenser that is heavy and sturdy, but it does have a few flaws. The pulley system and the lid The sturdiness of the glass container is not matched by the mechanism. I could ignore it, but the cup/floor that holds the straws isn't big enough to hold all of them. Many of the straws end up slipping down the sides and are impossible to retrieve if they are not loaded carefully. I haven't had it for very long, so there may be a loading method I haven't tried yet, so please keep that in mind. If I need to make changes to this review, I'm not sure I'll be able to do so.
This is the second of two that I've ordered. Even though it was well wrapped in bubble wrap and the box was undamaged, one arrived with a dented top and a slightly bent rod, despite the fact that it was well wrapped in bubble wrap and the box had no damage. There is no way to get a partial refund on Amazon if you want to keep a damaged item; the only options are to keep it or return it. Based on the reviews, it appears that getting another dented top is a good possibility. br>br>The glass container is of good quality, thick glass that should last for a long time. I wish the inner bottom lift part of the glass container was a little bigger. It's a lot smaller, which made filling the container difficult because the straws would fall outside the platform and not rise to be dispensed. br>br>Now that it has been filled (carefully), it should function properly.
It could just have been the one I got, but it seemed cheaply made, and the lid had dents to the point where we had to use pliers to get it to fit on the jar at all. It can also accommodate very small straws. It's more of a decorative item than anything else.
In addition, the stainless steel top is quite fragile. This item is 10 1/2 inches tall rather than 11 inches tall. In addition, the stainless steel top is quite fragile. This top piece was bent on the one I bought. To make it straight, I had to bend it backwards. On the top, there are jagged edges. However, if you're just lifting the top to get a straw out, you can avoid touching them. It works, but the quality isn't what I had hoped for.
Straws keep falling out of the bottom tray when I try to put them in the container. I'm having trouble loading the straws so that some of them don't fall to the bottom. I'm debating whether or not to return the item, but I may keep it as a decorative item with fewer straws inside.
It works fine, but the straw holder is bent, causing the straws to fall into the glass jar. However, it continues to work.
I'm not sure if anyone has any suggestions, or if I'll just return it.
