Yes, the silicone is flexible and soft. It holds its shape well on the counter to keep utensils in place and provide a resting place for a food spoon.
Please note that the utensils are not included in this price. The spoon rest is the only thing that this is for.
Selected User Reviews For Silicone Spoon Rest Holder for Stove Top, Silicon Utensil Rests for Kitchen Countertop, Large Heat Resistant Spatula Spoon Reat for Cooking with 5 Slots with Drip Pad BBQ Utensil Holder (Aqua)
CONS: I Should Have Bought The Other Brand. Two features appeal to me: the slots and drip pad where the top end of utensils can rest are large enough to accommodate the full-sized spatulas, tongs, chef's knife, and rice spoons that we frequently use (see photos). My husband and I both enjoy cooking, so this keeps our "tools" organized and the counter top clear. I used a variety of spoon rests, saucers, and even the chopping board before we got this, as well as reusing plastic meat containers.
CONS: The only concern I have is that if we cook on both sides, it will be too wide for our glass top stove. I would have preferred it if it only had 4 instead of 5 slots and was 5 7" in size, but it was less expensive than the Zulay Kitchen 5 7" with the gray color I desired. I'm irritated because the price increased by $3 the day after I added it to my shopping list, and when the product arrived, it was 2-fold higher. This product returned to its previous price three days later. br>Amazon sells many similar products in a variety of colors and prices; I recommend that you double-check the dimensions. It'll be easier to clean if it has fewer grooves. br>Because I've only used this product a few times, I'll report back on how heat-resistant it is later. It's stain-resistant and easy to clean.
The spoon rest pad is large enough to accommodate full-sized spatulas and spoons without them hanging over the edge and causing a snag. I looked until I found one with this size pad because the others I've seen are too small and, in my opinion, ineffective. I like that I can now separate my utensils while cooking rather than stacking them on top of each other on a single utensil spoon rest; however, I wish there were more color options because the bright green color isn't my favorite. Nonetheless, I chose efficiency over color, and I'm not sorry. br>br>Sturdy silicone is of high quality. Alternatively, hand wash or put in the dishwasher. This product has made me very happy.
Color is accurate to sample and is functional. It has a floppy base because the base is thinner than I expected. If liquids pool from utensils, both hands are required to pick up and clean in the sink; otherwise, I would have given it a five-star rating. You'll have a winner if you improve the base's rigidity.
I'm sure this could be used as a utensil rest, but I'm going to use it for something else. an organizer for knives! Yes, there is a knife holder. No knife block on the counter because I prefer a clean kitchen. I prefer a clean, modern kitchen, so there will be no magnetic hanging device for anything. I recently bought a new set of knives with sheaths. Knife drawer organizers can't accommodate the thick sheaths. I despised the knives strewn about in the drawer, so I began looking for a way to keep them contained. Ta da! I bought two of these silicone utensil rests, one to hold the knife handle and the other to hold the sheathed blade tip. It looks fantastic. I keep track of everything. My kitchen, on the other hand, is modern and stylish.
I like it because it keeps all of the spoons and other items in one place rather than strewn about the stove. br>The spoon rests just above the larger end, where any liquid or food that drips onto the mat will be caught. It's easy to clean and store because it's made of silicone. br>Warning: it's about 7 inches square, so it takes up a little counter space. If your counterpart is limited or smaller, this could be a problem.
I used to have a stove top/counter top utensil holder with four slots, which worked fine, but I prefer this because:br>1) it holds five utensils;br>2) the larger size allows my large ladles/spatulas/turners to fit on the drip tray portion.
This appeared to be a fantastic concept. However, due to its size and shape, it is difficult to store in a drawer. It appears to work fine, with the exception that assigning slots appears to be more difficult. I have a small acrylic cutting board on which I have simply placed spoons and spatulas, washed in the sink, stood up to dry, and placed back on the counter stove side. I didn't think I needed all those slots, and it takes longer to place utensils. Cleaning and storing were not on my mind. as well as the dreadful shade of green. My acrylic cutting board works much better for me and doesn't take up much space on my counter. I also don't need to keep it.
I needed something to rest cooking utensils on while stirring the pot, etc. I like the color (aqua is my favorite kitchen accent color), and I like that it can be hand washed or thrown in the top of the dishwasher. The only minor quibble I have is that I left it overnight, and the sauce that dripped on it did not completely wash off the next day! I'm a little disappointed that it left a faint mark. I'm thinking of putting some Oxyclean on it and seeing if it comes off.
