It never occurred to me that it would. My assumptions were incorrect. This item was doomed from the start. When I arrived, I was completely shattered.
Because it's made of ceramic, it can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand if it gets dirty.
The second one now sits proudly beside my stovetop in my kitchen cabinet. It washes beautifully in my dishwasher, but it appears to be a little 'delicate,' so I avoid hitting it against the cabinet by accident. I like the gradient color, and it looks elegant when it's left 'out' where it can be seen and used! It has made me very happy. I ordered one more so that I have a backup at the stove and by the crockpot, as well as one that can be left in the dishwasher if I need to rest the spoon! It's beautiful, but it's made of stoneware, so take care with it! This is a stunning work!.
A bag was used to ship my spoon rest. It came in three large pieces and three small pieces, as expected. Who in their right mind would put a piece of stoneware into a bag? Disappointed to the point of frustration.
Add in the fact that it's simple to wash and reuse in a snippet. The bottom is smooth, but could be a little smoother (I solved that problem with 400 grit sandpaper), but it's good enough to sit on the stove without scratching it. Even though it can be washed in the dishwasher, a quick soak in the sink will suffice, and then it's on to the stove. Without reservation, I recommend this rest and will purchase a replacement when or if this one wears out.
If you prefer a clean stovetop, this is a must-have. I bought this as a gift, and I'm hoping it goes over well! It's well-made, and the color is stunning! Thx!.
This spoon holder is perfect for my induction stove; it was a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but the quality is excellent, so I didn't mind.
MATCHES EXACTLY WITH OTHER FLAME LE CREUSET ITEMS. SOMEWHERE IN THE AREA OF LIGHTWEIGHT. A LITTLE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTRE BUT IT'S EASY TO CLEAN, AND THE COLOR GOES WELL WITH MY POTS AND PANS. BOUGHT 2. APPLY THEM ON A DAILY BASIS.
