Even with pasta sauce, there were no stains. Our ladle is perfect for the job.
It's made of silicone, which is dishwasher safe. I've had it for almost a year and have put it in the dishwasher at least a dozen times, if not more, and it still looks the same as the day I bought it. I had expected it to be larger than it was, but it's still a great product.

It's tough, useful, and adorable. In the photo, you can see a serving spoon and ravioli for reference. Yum!.
I needed a spoon rest but couldn't find anything that looked like it would work in my kitchen. After that, I came across this. It doesn't quite fit in my kitchen, but how could I pass up such a cool spoon rest? When people first see it on my stove, they mistake it for real ravioli, haha. Oh, and it's also functional. br>br> It provides a nice rest for utensils and does not burn or melt.
It's adorable, and I love having it on my stove. Do not, however, attempt to put tomato sauce- spoons were placed on top of it. If you don't wash it right away, tomato sauce will stain it. It took a lot of scrubbing to get the sauce off once when I left it on for too long. I was eventually able to clean it without leaving any stains, but I now avoid tomato sauce. Because it's silicone, anything else will easily wash away! I like it a lot. But I had to take away two stars because tomato sauce should be able to be put on ravioli!.
I've been looking for a spoon rest for a long time because I have an old gas stove with a hot cook surface when the oven is turned on. Something that wouldn't melt or get too hot was required. Because this is silicone, it solves those issues while also being extremely cute. At first glance, the simple design blends in with the rest of my decor, but it's a fun addition that makes me smile every time I use it.
Although the bottom is hollow, I don't find this to be a problem.
It's about 4 inches square and has a slight depression in the center, so even the most unwieldy spoons fall prey to its gentle caress. You'll love its functional, quirky, and fun touch in your kitchen, whether you buy it, give it as a gift, or use it yourself, as I do!.

It appears to be easy to clean, is a good size, is exactly what I was looking for, and will be an excellent addition to her kitchen. Who wouldn't want to rest their spoon on a 4" ravioli?.
