The length is approximately 5 inches. I needed it to be exactly what they said it would be and not a bait and switch. It was a waste of my time, and it caused me to mess up/delay a project I was working on. It was a complete waste of Amazon's time. In addition to money, Because of this, I will not purchase anything else from this seller. It's a shame, because I could use a magnet half the size if I needed one. It has the appearance of being powerful. BTW. Now that I've photographed it to post alongside their photo that exaggerates its size. . . I've noticed that they claim the magnet to be 1. In addition, 5 inches falls short of that claim. It isn't even a single number. The metal frame around it adds another 5 inches. What are these fishermen doing if they lie about their daily catch? The fish was THIS BIG, when it was actually the size of a sardine, or the guy bragging about HIS size, when the truth will eventually come out, or shall I say UP. So many items are manufactured outside of the United States. OR GET THE PRODUCT MARKETING DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE! I recently purchased two items that did not arrive in the size they photographed and shipped to me. I'm sick of people exploiting online shoppers. They assume you won't want to go through the trouble of returning it, or that you'll put it aside, intending to return it when you have a chance but forgetting to before the deadline. UGH!.

I gave it three stars because they are extremely difficult to open in order to hang things up. I bought them for my mother, and I assumed she was just complaining, but she wasn't; in fact, they are difficult for me to open. not a good idea.

But enough about me; these videos are also enjoyable. First, I read the other reviews and noticed that many people complained about the clips' strong spring force but poor clamping contact, causing them to fail to hold thin objects. Mine clamp along two flat edges and thus provide great contact and clamping force for thin objects such as single sheets of paper, which has not been my experience and may be a revision of the original product. br>br>These came in a box with a molded tray, similar to a fancy box of chocolates, with a piece of sheet metal hidden beneath it that they were all sticking to, keeping them snug in the box. It was almost comically fancy, and it made me laugh. They also appear to be in good condition, perhaps even better than expected. br>br>The anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti Scratch stickers are just the right size to cover the bottom without sticking out, and they're thin enough not to interfere with the magnetic force while still being thick enough to do the job. My wife now uses these to hang the kids' lunch boxes from the fridge because they have a strong magnetic force. Not only have I thrown away all those fridge magnets that can barely hold their own weight, let alone a few scraps of card stock and a photo, but I also use these on my front door to keep notes, shopping lists, coupons I usually forget to take, and so on. br>br>I adore these things.

Are the magnets strong and well-protected? YES! But there's a problem: When the clip is closed, there is an edge-to-edge point of contact. There isn't a crimp or a flat area where the pieces meet. Things will start to fall apart as a result of it. I was trying to hang a UPS poly bag filled with envelopes, but it slipped out of the clip. I added a piece of double stick tape to the clip and it worked fine; as a second test, I put a notepad in the clip and it worked fine. It wasn't as slippery as the bag, and it had a top cardboard border that could catch the clip's edge. The success of the clip is determined by what you want it to hold: whether it has enough bulk or thickness to catch the clip, and how heavy it is.

I was looking for a strong magnet to hold stacks of paper to a white board because I hate having things on my desk, so instead of having a cluttered desk with stacks of paper everywhere, I use a white board to clip papers in bunches so I can follow up on things as I have time. The problem I was having was that most magnets would slide down the board because they were not strong enough to hold or the clip itself was either too small or too strong. By being super magnetized to hold to the whiteboard and having a super strong clip that appears to clip just about anything, these magnets solved both problems. They have little sticky pads that you can stick over the top of the magnet to prevent it from scratching surfaces, as several people have mentioned. I've also tried these and they're fantastic. They also do not appear to reduce the magnet's strength. If you're looking for a strong magnet with a sturdy, large clip, this is a fantastic product that is well worth the money. A fantastic purchase!.

These are, therefore, the genuine article. They were used in my Gladiator Garage cabinets to hang tubes of silicone and other items, as well as to free up space in the drawers. The magnets are extremely powerful, and they could easily support another two-dimensional object. In terms of weight, three tubes should suffice. THEY WILL SCRATCH YOUR Fridge AND OTHER SURFACE DUE TO THEIR STRENGTH. Do not be concerned. They come with a thin magnetic stick-on pad to protect surfaces, making it a non-slip option. If you use the pads to attach them to your stainless fridge, you won't have an issue. I'm not sure if there are any more powerful clips on Amazon, but these are pretty hard to beat.

This product was purchased for a simple reason. During the summer, we had a metal roof installed on our home. I was trying to come up with a way to hang led icecsicle Christmas lights on the roof without damaging or scratching my new roof. I knew I'd have to be tough in the face of frost, snow, ice, wind, and freezing temperatures. I'm pleased to report that they were successful. Magnets were well-protected by the covers. I was concerned that the protective covers would reduce the magnet's strength, but the covers themselves are magnetic. I'm very happy with the results this winter, and I'll probably get another box to finish the rest of the roof line next year. These magnet clips were well worth the money because of their strength and size.

I needed a way to keep my calendar on the fridge as my at-home calendar. Because it was so old, the glance calendar bar kept falling off. These are very secure in holding the calendar, and they came with stickers to cover the magnet ends so they don't scratch the fridge. They're not particularly attractive, but they hold a lot of weight and don't slide or move around.
