I believe it will stand up, it comes with a cardboard insert that helps support it, and you crush the top of the hat into the insert, making a well that holds the food.

How big will this hat be if a cat wears it?

Yes, that would be a lot of fun. It's important the cat is not too fat, however.

I received this hat today, and it is exceptionally well made. There is a good deal of quality in it and it fits quite snugly. would have preferred velcro to cover the edges, as I have a smaller head than most, so I will need to add velcro to the top of the headband so there is no flap hanging over my head. would also like to know if you could give me a cone of thin cardboard so I can keep the shape even when I don't wear it. I am tremendously pleased with this hat, nevertheless, and I plan to order another from you when the time comes. Thank you I appreciate your help.

I really like the hat's shape and design! I gave it to my dad for Father's Day! There is a hibachi grill here! The jacket was a hit with my husband, so I gave him one, too.
