When I bought it, I thought it would protect me from heat up to 500 degrees. I haven't tried the 500-degree heat, and I rarely use anything higher than 450 degrees.

a silicone glove with a grippy lining! *pix*. I have a few more pairs of silicone gloves, but they're all un-used. lined. There's a nice quilted interior all the way down to the fingers on these! The padded cuff protects my arms from getting burned as I remove items from the oven. br>They're soft and comfortable, and they're a good fit for my forearms. br>My husband simply picks up an entire brisket or boston butt and moves it around on the smoker with silicone gloves. These are going to be fantastic for him. The grips on some gloves are barely visible above the glove: These have a higher rise, giving them more grip. br>I am very pleased with them. It's practical, easy to clean, and well-made.
When I put these mitts on, I was overjoyed. I can take a pie plate out of the oven with my hands. It's incredibly soft on the inside. These are things I wish I had discovered years ago! I ordered two sets by accident and am so happy I did. I intend to give these to all of my friends as gifts. Don't be afraid to experiment with them. I threw away all of my old, filthy mitts.
These can be used to remove extremely hot pots and pans from the oven without being burned, as well as to remove hot food from the grill. These are incredible in terms of heat resistance. They are very easy to clean and can even be washed in the dishwasher; they do not shrink or fade, and they do not slip around on your hands causing you to lose your grip. It truly is a one-size-fits-all situation.
You will not be disappointed with your purchase. I purchased gloves so that my children could safely prepare food in the oven or microwave, and I am happy with them. We've been cooking at home every night since we've been encouraged to stay at home these days, and these gloves have been extremely useful. I was a little hesitant to buy them because they were silicon on the outside and I assumed they would melt if they came into contact with something too hot, but they are even better than most oven gloves I've had; they are definitely heat resistant and keep my kids from burning themselves. My daughter, in particular, is delighted with the gloves because she enjoys baking and no longer has to be concerned about burning herself. I have no regrets about purchasing these; it is always better to be safe than sorry!.
I got these as part of a lightning deal and have been very pleased with them. I've had an older one (not the same brand) for a long time and enjoy it. However, when I saw these, I liked the extra arm length for safety when reaching into my oven and accidentally touching the side of the oven (ouch), especially when bringing out pies. I used them to carry a casserole and didn't get any heat from them. It's incredibly easy to clean thanks to the silicone. br>On the left, an older one, and on the right, new blue ones. In addition, I like the bright color.
I'm not sure how I managed without these oven mitts before. I've had burns on my arms for years from brushing the oven with my bare hands. I'm short, so getting to the back of the oven is a challenge. The vast majority of quilted fabric mitts are insufficiently long. No skin is exposed to the oven because of the length of these. They have such good surface traction that glass casseroles do not slip as I reach above my stove to remove items from my microwave, and I hang them on a command hook inside my pots and pans cabinet for easy access. I think these would be fantastic on the grill as well!.
" " After my daughter burned herself, I went in search of new mitts and learned about the different heat ranges. I'm so glad I decided on these. They're super soft on the inside, but the outside protects your fingers by a factor of ten. When I took out the lasagna this evening, it didn't even feel slightly warm on my fingers. What a refreshing change to have gripping as well! Cleaning is a breeze. I would strongly recommend it. I'll never use fabric potholders or oven mitts again.
I would strongly suggest it. This was even better than I expected! For years, I've been burning my hands with simple cloth oven mitts, which has been a source of frustration in our kitchen. Also, oven mitts are never long enough to go up your arms, so if you have to reach into the oven at all, you'll burn your forearm. I didn't even notice that I was holding cast iron aluminum and cookie sheets. I would strongly suggest these; I am overjoyed to have finally discovered something that works.
