I've never experimented with liquids and don't believe it's a good idea.
They have the same appearance as the rounded edges, but have square tops that seal better.

For the past five years, I've been planning to renovate our pantry. I started looking for the best containers as soon as we decided to actually do it! I didn't just want them to look nice; I also wanted them to be useful! And, as you can see, this is the ONLY WAY TO ORGANIZE AND HAVE A MUCH MORE MERCHANDISED APPEARANCE! In fact, I've rediscovered my love for cooking. OXO.
Depressing the button creates a powerful suction that stings a lot. Even better, there's no fidgeting with lids to get them to snap shut! This is why I despise Tupperware. The quality is excellent, as evidenced by the high price, but I am willing to pay the extra for the convenience. The container and lid are made of high-quality materials that should last for years.
Either the OXO quality has declined dramatically, or 100% these are 100% fakes. We have a few OXO pop tops (seen on the left in the photo) that have served us well for the past two years, and we wanted to add a few more for tea and sugar storage. The top on these ones is much thinner and has no seal with the container, so the lid can come right off without 'popping' the top, as you can see in the picture. These have let me down a lot. We didn't realize they were so bad before we filled them, so we'll probably just throw them out once the sugar is gone and order from the OXO website next time!.
I bought this to avoid having to keep opening the small HEM incense cone boxes that come in the bulk box. I simply opened all of the small boxes and tossed them into this container, leaving plenty of room! I believe each bulk box contains about 120 cones, which all fit perfectly in this machine.
They were exactly what I expected and of excellent quality. I used them to keep my beans, peas, and freshly brewed tea fresh. I'll definitely order another set to replace some of my older containers, and the pop lid is fantastic.
In my pantry, I bought this to store some very strong-smelling herbs. I hoped this would keep the smell out of the pantry, but it didn't. It's great for storing other things, but not for the purpose I had in mind.
These are fantastic. They have a pleasant weight to them and seal well. To wash the lid, you must disassemble it, but the majority of the components can be placed in the dishwasher. I'd rather not use the rubber-band method. You can't put a gasket in the dishwasher, but you can put a gasket in the dishwasher.
I tried to snap the white seal back together; we'll see how long it lasts. For how much it cost, it was a bit disappointing.
